I despised myself. Not joking. I despised everything about myself.
My large droopy nose, and when I beam, my teeth show way too much, almost like my jaws are popping out of my mouth. I had a curvaceous physique, with a small waist and larger thighs, but I was overweight. I wanted to be skinny like the girls on Pinterest. I'd eat less. I'd look at myself and detest myself. I have acne. I am brown and do not have a fair complexion. Everyone in my family is very fair, I am a teen, I am fair, but my skin is quite tanned, making it really brown; I can no longer sit and focus on how fair my skin is, but I do care.
I have been diagnosed with insecurity, and the cause of this ailment in my head is the use of social media. Have you ever been taunted by your parents about how horrible social media is? Now consider those taunts.
I mostly surf through Pinterest, and the first thing I notice is a female with the perfect, flat belly. Girls with this model have a slim hourglass form, glass skin, and hairless skin. Girls with the most extravagant fashion sense and nails. Then I see these females who have straight A's and are overachievers, as well as those who dress and live like old money. You get it: Porsche, mansions, private jets, and frequent trips to Milan.

I'm sure that any girl who has read that previous paragraph can relate, unless you're Bella Hadid. The lives of these girls are the most extravagant. They have a lot of wonderful things.
Clearly, the most attractive 6'3" muscular guy who treats her like a princess. For those who can relate, I'll split your universe into two categories in this post: reality, and social media. This will offer you hope, even though it's a reality check. I'm quite practical and not naive.

Listen, whether you're a girl or a boy, the most immaculate people you see on social media and who are adorned everywhere online, are models. They have perfect skin, bodies, hair, nails, and other body parts. Every model.
Let's decipher this as well. Unless you decide to be one, my buddy, you will never be a model. Continue reading without passing judgment on this statement. Agencies make significant investments in models.
They have experts in their field who train their bodies to get that physique, and they have dietitians who create a customised diet for them that is intended to promote healthy skin, metabolism, and overall well-being. They work out every day and have dermatologists who personalise body treatments and facials to achieve that body. They earn a living doing it; it's their profession.
If they don't, they won't be able to make it. Allow me to illustrate. Victoria's Secret Model, when asked, "What does it take to become an angel?" Adriana Lima responded in exactly the same way.

If you see these ladies who are not models but have that body, they either have an eating issue, are naturally thin, or have photo-shopped their videos or images. Many ladies have been doing this for a long time. I saw a video by Haley Baylee, an amazing lady, who posted a video of herself and then revealed that she had photoshopped it.
No hate, but she revealed a reality. Girls possess a charisma that makes them shine. And while each person's charm is unique, it must be acknowledged and nurtured.
If you didn't know, getting a flat stomach requires a lot of exercise and discipline. However, if you are a girl and have menstrual cycles, forget it, because your uterus works so hard, and your lower abdomen bloats, which is normal. It's not unusual.
You can be skinny or not skinny, but if you are comfortable with your skin, you look great. Nothing beats a girl slaying in her own flesh, not acting like those girls on social media, and being confident in what she wears. I see girls who are unhappy with their skin colour. You know, if white were the only skin tone that worked best, colours would have stopped at white.

2. The Perfect Grades Girls
If you see the girls with straight A's, here's some advice: work hard, don't be Rory Gilmore, be Quinn Ackerman from Work It. Grades are important, but what matters most is that you work hard and give your all to everything you do. You may not always see results, but working hard and being disciplined will pay off in the long term. Be patient, learn, and play; the world needs people who can apply, not bookworms who have become obsessed with those instructions in their books and have never explored their surroundings.

3. The Classy Fake Lifestyle
Listen, old money styles and those who appear affluent are people sponsored by companies; if they are wealthy, they will be busy making fools of us and continuing to make money to support their lifestyle. And let's be honest, if you see those girls with picture-perfect relationships, beware. Life on and off screen is a completely different scenario. Let me tell you, I know having a good-looking partner sounds wonderful, but let's be honest: I don't want to be treated like trash by a good-looking boy.
The harsh reality is that we need gentlemen who understand that I am a modern, independent, and courageous lady. Someone who will treat me like a princess, a queen. He values me and treats me properly. You don't want a good-looking broke partner; you want one who is intelligent, loyal, responsible, compassionate, and has the potential to thrive in the future. I am obsessed with what Michael Obama said, "If I were dating at your age, I wouldn't be married to the President of the United States."

There is a tree with one thousand leaves. Each leaf varies in colour, shape, and size. However, when they are combined, they form a stunning tree.
That's life. You are the leaves; your beauty, unique features, skin, body, and values contribute to the beauty of this world. You don't have to be a badass; you may be a sweet girl who makes a difference. You can be a baddie with the kindest heart. You can be anybody you want; social media is amazing, but how you use it is important. So, do me a favour: when you leave your house, walk like you own it, like you are your own diva who is stunning and the most amazing person. Be confident and tell the world that you are unique, unusual, amazing, flamboyant, and you are yourself.
