The Fear Street trilogy takes place in the fictional town of Shadyside, a place which has been cursed by Solomon Goode (Ashley Zuckerman) in 1666 to seek revenge on an innocent young woman Sarah Fier (Elizabeth Scopel), because she had been wrongly accused of witchcraft. The Goode family were an influential family set in the town of Sunnyvale, Ohio. Their goal was to keep their wealth with them by using satanic rituals, make Sunnyvale the best town in Ohio, and sell the souls of Shadyside to Satan.
The Curse is that the first-born of every generation of the Goode family will perform the ritual started by Solomon Goode, leading to a cycle of murders.
The Goode family used their dominant positions to perform the occult rituals and cover their tracks. The Curse died with Nick Goode (Ashley Zuckerman), who died in the third installment of the trilogy (Fear Street Part Three: 1666).

Recap of Fear Street Part One: 1994
In 1994, Shadyside faces a series of massacres, the main killer being Ryan Torres (David W. Thompson). Sherriff Nick Goode kills Ryan Torres, yet the massacres do not stop. Many believe that Shadyside was cursed because of Sarah Fier before she had been executed in 1666. Deena Johnson (Kiana Madeira), the protagonist, does not believe in the legacy of Sarah Fier, but the responsibility of getting rid of the curse is placed upon her, primarily due to the fact that her girlfriend Samantha (Olivia Scott Welch) has been possessed by the evil. The group called C. Berman (Sadie Sink), a survivor of the 1978 Camp Nightwing Massacre, to get answers. But C. Berman says that there is no getting rid of Sarah Fier.
Recap of Fear Street Part Two: 1978
The second film shows the Camp Nightwing Massacre, showing the romance between C. Berman and Nick Goode. It is also revealed that C. Berman had died during the massacre, and later resuscitated by Nick Goode. At the end of the film, the focus is back in 1994, with Deena trying to end the curse, but the scene shifts to the POV of Sarah Fier in 1666.
Recap of Fear Street Part Three: 1666
In the third film, the origin of the Shadyside curse is shown, and it is also revealed that Sarah Fier was wrongly accused of witchcraft, all because Solomon Goode wanted to keep the Goode family respected. At the end of the film, 1994 is back in focus, and the film ends with Deena eliminating Nick, which puts an end to the curse and giving Shadyside its much needed peace. But in horror tales, nothing ever stays dead for long.
I recommend watching the trilogy before watching Fear Street: Prom Queen.

It seems that the casting directors have done a wonderful job, as new and upcoming talent will be shown in this movie in main roles. The cast of Fear Street: Prom Queen is young and fresh, with Arianna Greenblatt being a main actor. Ariana Greenblatt has also acted in Barbie as Sasha, and played the main character, Daphne, in the Disney Channel show, Stuck in the Middle. The villain is shown wearing a red cape and hood which covers his face, indicating the anonymity of the killer.

The cast is new and fresh, with Arianna Greenblatt and India Fowler in main roles. Lastly, watch the film at your own risk, as Fear Street is not for the faint-hearted. It is one of my most favorite horror film series ever, and I hope this series connects with you the same way it connected with me.
