It’s literally mid-July—and everyone and everything has got the summer buzz. The season of Summer has got to be loud, chaotic, scorching, with pool parties and sunshine and fun.
Underrated Opinion: not every summer has to be wild, loud, and full of chaos.
That should really be a Pinterest whisper.
Because while everyone’s running around, staying out late, gossiping and pretending to be “that girl”, and frankly? I’m exhausted. Not the kind where ‘a nap fixes everything’, I’m emotionally and mentally tired of being there for everyone while not having time for myself. And I’m pretty sure you can relate, because this burnout’s always there like a static in the background of an audio.
So—I’ve decided, that, I’m starting my winter arc early.

If you haven’t heard or read about it yet, it is one of the most popular self-improvement trends, especially on TikTok, that encourages the person to build the healthiest, lasting habits, and setting and committing to goals. In simple words, it’s where you disappear from the party, stop oversharing, and retreat into your private little cocoon to heal, grind, and glow in silence. But, if like me, your soul hits winter in July, then that’s exactly when you need to get started, reset, and rebuild yourself.
And a winter arc is definitely not about being sad or broken or stepping into your “villain arc” or “morally grey era”. It’s about stepping back so you can come back stronger, smarter, and more unbothered than ever.

Why I’ve Even Decided to Start My Winter Arc

The past month, June, has been a lot—especially for me. From losing school elections (which I worked insanely hard for), to some (fanatic) people copying my every move, to tests and burnouts, I’ve been through hectic days and brain-cell exhaustion. Now I’m choosing peace over the pressure I impose on myself.
My Mid-Summer Winter Arc Rules
These are the non-negotiables. This isn’t just some random energy shift; it’s a change in your lifestyle. So, with that being said, here are the official rules I’m living by during my winter arc (after tons of researching, watching Tam Kaur and thewizardliz, and reading a dozen self-help books), so trust me, I know what I’m talking about!
1. Discipline > Motivation
Are you seriously going to scroll again, looking for motivation and a dozen quotes which aren’t going to be work unless you do? Read that again. I don’t care what mood I’m in right now—at the end of the day, it’s just a feeling right?
2. School/Work Always Comes First.
I’m trying to show up like the academic weapon that I know lives within me. Just devoting a little section of your day and working consistently makes a huge difference. Don’t cram all the information on the last day.
Remember, concept > mugging up. I will soon be writing an article on how to ace school with little effort and zero pressure, so stay tuned for that!
3. Movement is Mandatory!
This isn’t optional, at all. And this doesn’t necessarily mean that you become a gym rat and lift 10 KG dumbbells everyday—it can literally even be a mood walk with headphones in. The primary goal right now is to move your body, and quit the sedentary lifestyle.
4. Protect Your Precious Peace at All Costs.
No messy drama, at all. All the pretty people reading this, please remember, your energy is national treasure—and you need to secure it. And when you’re dealing with people who beg for your energy?
Two letters, N.O. If you’re not matching effort, you’re out. This winter arc is solo if it needs to be. I’m my own team. For a month, stop trying to become a hero in other people’s stories, stop entangling yourself in gossip, and sit at a table that discusses ideas, not people—or sit alone till you find one. You’ll feel the change, and you’ll know what I mean.
What Will Happen When We Re-Emerge From This Arc?

Rested, refreshed, focused, glowing, and unbothered about everything else. So no, I’m not waiting until January to reset. I’m doing it now.
In July. In full sass, full power, full peace. So, give yourself a digital detox, work-out, and work hard. A reward is definitely guaranteed.
Final Thoughts
If I don’t text back, it’s not that I have a beef with you. I’m just…busy—becoming the person I’ve always desired to become. So if you’ve been feeling like you need to slow down, step back, and finally put yourself first — this is your sign.
Start your winter arc now.
Don’t wait for the perfect season. And don’t forget to have an amazing summer!
