Top 8 Best Fall Date Ideas for Teens

Relationships

September 19, 2022

Fall is just around the corner, and with it comes fun opportunities for you and your partner to spend time together. This article will list the best suggestions for fall activities that are within your budget!

1. Make Some Fall-Themed Food

Fall is known for its tasty treats, so why not make your own? All you and your partner have to do is find some good fall recipes that you can try out and make together. Write out a list of ingredients you will need and head to the closest grocery store.

If you're stuck on figuring out what to do, Pinterest and TikTok always have the best inspiration. Anything pumpkin spice related will do! This is a great activity because it's fun, easy, and convenient.

This will give you time to bond with your partner while trying something new. It is also cheap depending on what you decide to prepare, making this a perfect fall date!

2. Visiting a New Coffee Shop

A favorite part of fall for a lot of people is going to a coffee shop and getting the newest fall-flavored drink. While you and your partner have probably been to Starbucks before and gotten their pumpkin spice latte just in time for autumn, now is the time to try something new!

Go online and find a coffee shop you and your partner have never been to before. It's even better if it's a place you don't have to drive to, so you can appreciate the fall weather with each other. When you're at the coffee shop, order a fall-themed drink and savor the ambiance. This is a great date for you and your partner to try something new as well as be able to get to know each other even better.

3. Go to a Pumpkin Patch

A classic fall activity is going to a pumpkin patch. Drive to your closest pumpkin patch (don't forget to listen to spooky tunes on the way) and begin picking. Some fun things to do while you're at the pumpkin patch are to take a photoshoot together to show to your friends and family, find the "ugliest" pumpkin to take home, or pick some pumpkins that you can carve together. This fun activity is perfect for spending a long time together while getting in the mood for the fall season.

4. Making Halloween Costumes for Each Other

Everyone knows that part of the fall season is Halloween. If you participate in Halloween, it's always fun to dress up alone, with friends, or with your partner. Look around your house for props, or anything that you could make a costume out of.

You can also visit a local thrift store or resale shop to buy parts for your costume at a cheaper price. You can make many different costumes for each other, or even make your own couples costume for your next Halloween get-together.

5. Have a Scary Movie Night

Fall is known as the season of spookiness, but also nostalgia. You and your partner can pick out your favorite scary movie or, if you're scared, easily pick out your favorite fall-related movies to watch. Pick out some of your favorite candy or fall treats and get comfortable.

Some great fall-themed movies to watch are When Harry Met Sally, Autumn in New York, Harry Potter, etc... If you are more into spookier movies this season, you can try out Beetlejuice, Edward Scissor Hands, or any horror movie.

6. Visit a Fall Festival

Fall comes with many opportunities to get together with others and celebrate. Why not bring your partner along? Go online and try finding festivals near you.

At these fall festivals, you can usually go on hay rides, pick fruits and pumpkins, as well as enjoy delicious fall-themed foods, or spooky-themed adventures. You and your partner can have fun with the many aspects that come with these festivals. Now is the time to go out and meet new people and spend time together. Remember to take lots of pictures!

7. Carve Pumpkins Together

A classic fall activity is carving pumpkins. For most, this is a Halloween tradition that many love. Find a pumpkin from a pumpkin patch or your closest grocery store and get all the tools you need.

You can usually buy pumpkin carving kits in any supermarket or online (I recommend Amazon). Get started and come up with creative ideas for your pumpkin. If you're done carving, you can bake your pumpkin seeds for a delicious snack (you can find many good recipes online).

8. Decorate for Halloween and Tell Ghost Stories.

Halloween is approaching very quickly, so now is the time to start decorating your houses. Invite your partner over or go to their house and pull out all the spooky decorations they have. You can also take a quick stop at any store that sells Halloween-related items, such as Spirit Halloween or Homegoods.

If you're looking for more decorations on a budget, there are many good options at thrift and dollar stores. While decorating or afterward, share your favorite scary stories that you learned as kids or genuinely enjoy. This creates a fun, spooky, and relaxed aesthetic that everyone loves when it comes to fall.

Now that you have some in-budget ideas for you and your partner to enjoy this fall, go forth and start planning your date!
