Her Look
Mabel’s look was created by designer Dana Covarrubius. She aimed to create New York’s next "it" girl. Her vision was to blend a Sherlock Holmes-inspired look with vintage touches and modern trends.
In my opinion, the designer is an absolute genius. She perfectly captured a style that many girls want, dressing Mabel in layers of cozy sweaters that give her a sweet and sophisticated look. All the outfits in the show are truly beautiful and easy to replicate.
Learn to Layer Like a Pro
As the weather gets colder, staying warm is essential, and layering becomes not only practical but stylish. Mabel’s outfits are the perfect image of chilly fall weather. She embodies this aesthetic by layering effortlessly.
Choose thin materials as your base. Try long sleeves, thermals, camis, t-shirts, or blouses, and layer with heavy pieces. For these, think cardigans, vests, jackets, turtlenecks, scarves, and sweaters. Oversized cardigans are making a comeback! Be sure to add them to your closet or wishlist: you won’t regret it! Mabel’s detective vibe is all about blending her inner chic with the fall season. Cozy weather is here, so start layering to stay stylish, classy, and most importantly, warm.

Color Scheme
Colors are the key to adding flavor to your wardrobe. To capture Mabel’s look, go for fall shades: yellows, oranges, light reds, grays, whites, and browns. Choose softer tones and combine them with accents of bolder, brighter shades to create a look that screams sophistication and confidence.
Embrace Patterned Looks
Incorporating patterns like plaids into your outfits can elevate your look to the next level. When paired with the right pieces, your outfit will be admired. People will compliment you. Most of all, you will compliment yourself.
Go for those bold, explosive colors and patterns. Plaids and stripes are some of Mabel’s go-to choices. Take time to figure out what works best for your body and what makes you look good, as different patterns can create different illusions.
Fashion is different for everyone, so choose colors, patterns, and styles that you like, and don't be afraid to go bold! Sometimes, just one bold piece can transform your outfit. So, trust me when I tell you to add some plaid and throw in a few stripes!

How to Accessorize Like Mabel
Remember that your confidence is your best accessory, so use it! If you want something, go after it. Don’t be afraid to ask for something.
Be bold. Have no regrets. Your confidence is everything.
Keep your accessories simple. Don’t overwhelm your body with too many accessories or makeup that distract from the outfit itself. Instead, focus on simple, minimal amounts of earrings, bracelets, perfume, and jewelry.
This minimalistic aesthetic gives off the vibe of a confident woman. Even if you put less effort into accessorizing and applying makeup, you’ll still look like the boss that you are.
Personality Check
Be brave and embrace your confidence. You are a beautiful boss, and it’s important to keep that in mind every day! Mabel and Selena Gomez radiate inner beauty and self-confidence.
Embrace your nerdy side, be a little sarcastic, and stay a total sweetheart. Smile and be kind to others. Mabel is a blend of all these things, and she owns it. Also, forget the negative connotation of the title “nerd.” Your brain is a huge part of your beauty, and it’s how you choose to use it that really matters.

Where to Buy Clothes
Aeropostale, American Eagle, and Forever 21 are booming right now, with sweaters everywhere! If you're in North America, all three stores have online and in-person shopping options; plus, all three have frequent sales, so you can achieve a high-class look without breaking the bank. I recently picked up a few sweaters from these stores myself.
If you're looking for a vest, Aeropostale has several colors on sale, including red, beige, white/eggshell, and black. Definitely check them out when you can!
If you’re feeling like splurging and you have extra cash lying around, take a look at Dior and Zara. Their sweaters are super stylish and classy, though at a much higher price. Zara has everything from cardigans to jackets in trendy colors and styles.
If you don’t have the money now, don’t worry. Just do what I do: add it to your holiday wishlist, or you can save up for the items you want. Do whichever fits your lifestyle and personality the best.
