10 Influencers to Follow on Instagram to Inspire You

Personal Growth

April 18, 2020

OK, I don't want to be the 7894th person to mention that we're in uncertain times and to tell you to go bake some banana bread. I've seen enough of that for the past few weeks. The truth is: I am genuinely feeling a bit down regarding everything that's been going on.

The ONLY thing keeping me sane are the influencers I'm tuning into on social media. Honestly, they provide a bit of an escape from all this, which I am ever so grateful for. All of the following work EXTREMELY hard to keep up with creating content at home, and they inspire me so much every single day.

The following include content creators in fashion, beauty, lifestyle and fitness. Hopefully, they will make you smile, give you hope and inspire you to do something new and exciting you hadn't thought of previously. Or maybe they will just be that little bubble you can turn to for good WHOLESOME content, because that's what we're all about at this point, right?!

1. Victoria

Vic just does an absolutely amazing job of giving us beautiful homey content, especially the mirror selfies and giving us an insight into how she and Alex (her husband) are dealing with working from home as a couple. She's absolutely MADE IT in the influencer industry, and is admired by all! Her personal elegance and stunning photos showcase her dedication to her job.

2) Olivia Purvis

Olivia (or Liv) recently came out with a book (The Insecure Girls Handbook) and is so relatable! Her feed is absolutely STUNNING (loving the pinks), and I've especially enjoyed her Stories, she's very relatable. And, oh, if you love dogs (MAGGIE) definitely chuck her a follow.

3) Mimosas and Manhattan (Courtney Seamon and Kelly McFarland - Fashion and beauty)

Courtney lives in NYC, Kelly resides in LA. They're cousins and duo bloggers. Courtney is so funny, you should see the videos she posts. Kelly has an amazing voice, why is she not a singer already?! When the cousin bloggers aren't posting their outfits or latest beauty routine, one of them is making HILARIOUS videos and the other is singing BEAUTIFULLY!

4) Sweats & The City (Elizabeth Endres and Dale Borchiver - Fitness and health)

They met when they were roommates, both with a burning passion for boutique fitness studios. 4 years later, they've turned their brand into an EMPIRE!!! Recently, they've started an online workout class schedule filled with amazing workout classes from a range of fitness coaches and studios. All you have to do is swipe up from their stories and be greeted with an ever-growing list of classes.

STAYING SAFE AT THE STUDIO/GYM DURING COVID-19. By now we all (unfortunately) know that CORONAVIRUS is a hot topic.

It’s always important to stay sanitary (esp. when working out), but obviously the alert level is at a high right now, so we’re sharing some our tips for virus prevention at the studio/gym (or just in life): —โ€จโœ”๏ธ DON’T COME TO THE GYM SICK. — A given, but so many people still try to *sweat it out*.

It’s important for others (and for you) that you please at stay home if you are not well! โœ”๏ธ SANITIZE + WASH. — Especially before + after using any equipment. The before often gets forgotten at studios! โœ”๏ธ DON’T TOUCH YOUR FACE. — Everyone knows not to touch your mouth, but the most susceptible places are the inner part of your eye, your ears and nose. So make sure to keep hands away from there, too. โœ”๏ธ PROPER TOWEL USE. — Please don’t blow your nose in a towel, use a tissue and toss it away.

Avoid touching your face with towels, too. โœ”๏ธ INSTRUCTORS: Minimize props + physical assistance if possible. — This is for your safety and the safety of others. Trust us, we love a good hands on adjust, but right now better safe than sorry. โœ”๏ธ INQUIRE. — Find out what your studio is doing to minimize the spread of germs. Many studios have sent out emails to explain how they’re taking precautions. โœ”๏ธ USE WATER FOUNTAINS WITH CARE (IF AT ALL). — Most have a spout for your mouth and for your bottle.

In our opinion it’s best to avoid the mouth component all together, & be careful about touching your water bottle to the spout. โœ”๏ธ KEEP TISSUES ON HAND. — To avoid touching your face with your hands & uncovered sneezes. โœ”๏ธ IN GENERAL: clean your high-touch items. — What we mean: laptops, cell phones, home surfaces … these are used often and thus high germ spreaders! โœ”๏ธ BRING YOUR OWN EQUIP. — such as a yoga mat! โœ”๏ธ STREAM FROM HOME. — You can get a great workout in the comfort of your own home. โœ”๏ธ MOST IMPORTANTLY: Stressing is only going to weaken the immune system, don’t forget self care. Just as important: this virus does not discriminate, so please don’t discriminate against others! As always, treat others with kindness + respect โœŠ๐Ÿป. Any other quick tips? xx #ssssweats

5) Mariajblogs (Maria - Fashion)

Even though she's stuck at home, Maria makes the most gorgeous content with indoors, and her famous (read fake) mirror selfies have inspired a whole storm of people to follow. It's essentially posing with your phone in front of a camera ... genius. Also, Maria is addicted to mac'n'cheese, which no one is going to argue about!

6) Chelsea As Of Late (Chelsea H - Lifestyle)

WOW. Chelsea's feed is downright cute, if you're into pastels, what are you waiting for?! Honestly, her photos are so so so creative and you can see the level of thought she puts into all her posts.

7) Arielle Vey (Photography)

If you need to give your phone a makeover (aka a new wallpaper), Arielle's feed is the perfect place to snag yourself one!!! Her photos consist of coral coloured flowers, scenic beaches ... and her stunning home. While we're all stuck at our own respective places of residence, we can all take serious interior inspo.

And some teen influencers to follow:

8) Charli D'Amelio

Charli started TikTok in June 2019, it's April 2020 already and she has 41 million TikTok followers. (SAY WHAAAT?!) If there's one person that'll keep you entertained, it will sure be Charli! She's also super active on Twitter ... if that's your jam!

9) Piper Rockelle

10) Life With MaK (Makenna Kelly - ASMR)

If you love some good ASMR - Makenna is the person to go to! She's super bubbly, and says that she wants her ASMR role plays on YouTube to be the opening door for her dream job: acting and modeling.

OK, there we have it. Influencers (whether teen or adult) who may inspire you and offer you great content to take you through quarantine. There's a whole range, from fashion to fitness and beauty to ASMR! If you are thinking of becoming an influencer in the future, it's always good to follow them to see what it's all about!

I hope you have an absolutely wonderful day wherever you are. Tschüss!
