Why the Jewish Community is Terrified of Kanye West

November 09, 2022

Ye made an array of public statements that shined a light on his anti-semitic views and hatred for the Jewish community. He has also been exposed for his love of Hitler and his support for genocide. Throughout this article we will explore exactly what Ye has stated, how it has affected the Jewish community and the world, and dive deep into the danger of Ye's actions.

What Did Kanye Say and Do?

On October 8th 2022, Ye posted to his Twitter, "I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE".

This was not the only statement Ye has made, announcing his belief that “the Jewish community, especially in the music industry…they’ll take us and milk us till we die" in a now deleted interview with "Drink Champs". Ye did not kept it a secret during multiple interviews and Twitter posts that he hated Jews and did not think they deserved a place on this earth.

What Were The Consequences Of Kanye's Actions?

He lost many partnerships and brand deals, including his main source of income from Adidas and his Yeezy line.

Everything he has lost so far:

  • Adidas partnership and production of Yeezy
  • Balenciaga partnership deal
  • Vogue cut all ties
  • Dropped by his lawyer
  • Stadium shows canceled
  • Documentary production stops
  • Restricted on Twitter and Instagram

Ye is no longer a billionaire and even though he lost so much and his anti-semitic comments have costed him a fortune, he continues to publically share his hatred for the Jewish people on his platforms.

Why Is This So Dangerous?

Ye is a role model for millions of Americans and his words have a huge impact on people's beliefs and behaviors. There are only 14.8 million Jews in the ENTIRE WORLD, which is 3.6 MILLION LESS PEOPLE THAN KANYE'S INSTAGRAM FOLLOWING OF 18.4M. The Jewish community is tiny compared to the power Kanye holds over the nation with his use of social media and public platforms. Words matter and they have an impact on everyone.

Comments from millions of users are expressing their support and understanding of Ye's views. It's horrifying to see an array of comments full of statements like, "smartest thing you said all week", "we should boycott all brands who have cut ties with ye. We are in control of the narrative, not them", "Keep inspiring and leading us. The most influential"...

Unfortunately, these are real comments people have posted on Kanye's Instagram, showing their agreement with Jewish hatred and violence against the community.

Supporters of Kanye dropped a huge banner in Los Angeles stating, "Kanye Is Right About The Jews" for thousands to see as they drive by the banner. Hate crimes and this type of behavior will continue to increase as long as Kanye expresses his hatred for the Jews on his social media platforms.

Is Kanye Trying To Repeat History?

According to the "impact" Instagram page, Ye has been exposed for his obsession and alarming admiration for Hitler.

A business executive that worked with West opens up about his experience with the rapper and his love for Hitler. The post contains the following statements made by the executive:

He would praise Hitler by saying how incredible it was that he was able to accumulate so much power and would talk about all the great things he and the Nazi Party achieved for the German people.

The rapper's admiration for Hitler created a hostile work environment

West spoke openly about reading "Mein Kampf", Hitler's manifesto

He admired Hitler and the Nazis for their use of propaganda

People close to West were fully aware of his interest in Hitler

Terryfing, right?

One person with hate for the Jewish community ended in genocide once, and is that what Ye is trying to accomplish now? What are his actual intensions with all the posts and statements he makes for the whole world to see?

Now, that is the question that horrifies the Jewish people.

What Can You Do?

At the end of the day, everyone is entitled to their freedom of speech, even if they are harmful words. However, there are always going to be consequences for what you choose to put out into the world. Private companies have every right to back out of partnerships or deals.

Regardless, we can't really prevent hateful speech and it's important to understand how we can help in situations like these. Post on social media your support for the Jewish community and show they are not alone. Make sure your Jewish friends and loved ones know that they have a support system. The only way to kill hate, (as cheesy as it sounds), is with kindness and love.
