As you may know, on September 7, 2025, the MTV Video Music Awards took place in New York. A celebration that blends performances and special tributes.
But what is really the most important thing at these events is the outfit, and I am going to show you a few that I really liked!

A white plunging heart-shaped top, twisted thin straps, and drapes; I find this two-piece outfit magnificent! It is simple and not too over the top. On the contrary, I find it "angelic"!

She is wearing a form-fitting dark brown satin dress, which creates a fluid drape at the bottom of the outfit. A draped V-neckline adds elegance to the ensemble.

REI AMI
A bold outfit: a black fringe mini skirt paired with a belt and a black crop top. Accompanied by a burgundy faux fur scarf (I really love this color haha!), it adds a touch of texture and color to her look! And all of this with black belted boots that complete the gothic-pop style.
For her hairstyle, she has bangs with highlights, a slightly messy half-up bun, and the rest of her hair is left down. But this is also a tribute to HUNTR/X, since she plays Zoey in Kpop Demon Hunter!
I really like this outfit because I’m a fan of the rock/gothic style, and also the burgundy faux fur really caught my eye!
Now let’s change the style a bit with Kevan Kenney!

Kevan Kenney
His look consists of a white shirt with black pants. An outfit that seems basic but takes on full meaning with the vintage faux leather jacket and the burgundy tie to complete the look!
He also wears orange/amber sunglasses that add warmth to his look! The slightly open shirt gives off a "cool" and "relaxed" attitude, while the jacket collar is straight, making the outfit understated but confident.
His outfit gives off an autumn / "cool boy" vibe!
Ice Spice
A vintage set with a Spring/Summer 2000s style! A Victorian-inspired corset with a dynamic patchwork skirt. A tousled bun accompanied by bangs and strands framing the face. A retro-chic dimension with accessories like subtle earrings that highlight the simplicity of the outfit.
I love patchwork; I think it really gives something extra, whereas if she had come with the rest of a Victorian-era dress, I wouldn't have liked it as much. In short, a mix of Victorian era, Y2K, and modernity. She mixes all styles and breaks the rules!
Doja Cat
Mini Balmain dress in pastel colors, paired with a plunging neckline and adorned with fuchsia crystals. The checkered print reminds me of the Queen of Hearts' cards in Alice in Wonderland.
A rather tousled hairstyle that reminds me of the 80s, with her bright red lipstick that catches the eyes of all the guests. Some quite extravagant earrings can be seen behind her hair, which brings even more life to this outfit.
It feels like going back to the 80s-90s, and I love it!

GloRilla
A plaid/tartan printed set with a strapless dress, a matching jacket, and a small fuchsia bag for a touch of pep: here is GloRilla’s magnificent outfit at the MTV VMAs 2025!
The combination of heels + ruffled socks matches really well together! It’s those little details that give real identity to the outfit.
Even with the contrast, it remains coherent: all the elements of the dress have the same pattern, which already catches the eye, and the fuchsia bag doesn’t clash with the rest!
It vaguely reminds us of a “preppy academic” style, with a contrast between the strict and the festive!
She managed to stay right in the middle between chic and shock!
Conclusion
