Riverdale co-stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse break up after 2 years

July 24, 2019

Hold your horses...and umm tissues and buckets of ice cream because it’s true(cries). Our favorite Riverdale couple, Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse aka real-life Betty and Jughead, have broken up according to, US Weekly.

The real reason to their tragic end is still not known but the former couple seemed distant at Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con party. But despite their end, they were still very interactive with the rest of the cast and the media.

Cole left the party early along with co-stars K J Apa and Camila Mendes. Lili Reinhart left alone later.

A source also told E! News that the co-stars “broke up earlier this summer” and are “not living together this season” of Riverdale. E!’s source hinted at the possibility of a reunion as well.

“Right now, it's unclear where things stand, but it seems [like] they could be heading back in the direction of getting together.”

Sprouse and Reinhart were, however, seen sitting together during San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, with the rest of the cast. Lili also posted an Instagram photo with Sprouse and costar KJ Apa with the playful caption,

"Please don't put me between these two ever again."

Please don’t put me between these two ever again.

After dating for nearly two years they finally decided to call it quits. The couple started seeing each other in 2017 but tried to keep it very low in the beginning. They went to several events together like the Met Gala and the premiere of the Cole Sprouse’s movie Five feet apart.

The duo has yet to confirm the news, but we all hope for them to reunite as soon as possible.

You make me very happy. Happy Valentine’s Day, my love.
