There's whispers going around in Hollywood that the new it couple of this season might be... Zoe Kravitz and Austin Butler?

They are currently co-starring in Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming thriller, Caught Stealing, which is set to release on Aug 29, 2025.

According to People, "The trailer meets Butler's character Hank Thompson and his girlfriend (Kravitz) as his British punk-rocker neighbor Russ (Smith) asks him to watch his cat as a favor. Hank soon encounters two men who assault him outside his apartment after they mistake him for his neighbor and learns that they are mobsters, and he continues to grow further embroiled in New York City's criminal underworld."

Filming wrapped in October 2024, during which they were photographed filming a kiss on set, fueling dating rumors.

2. Both Recently Went Through a Breakup

In early April, Page Six reported the duo were "reportedly growing close following their respective breakups."

Glamour echoed: “New couple alert? As of April 8, 2025, rumor has it that Zoë Kravitz and Austin Butler are an item, fresh off of their respective breakups."

Glamour cited a source that spoke to the US Sun, “Austin and Zoë have been spending time together over the past few weeks.”

The source also reportedly shared, "They get on very well and their chemistry is as good off-screen as it is on it. Austin and Zoë have been keeping it under the radar and aren’t putting a label on anything yet. They are both very respectful of their ex-partners and are just seeing how things go.”

On July 20, 2025, they were spotted at the immersive show Viola’s Room in NYC. "We hear that the pair was spotted going into the edgy show together, and also heading out into the night afterwards," PageSix reported.

Some say they were with director Darren Aronofsky, making it less likely to be a date.
