Manifesting has become a trend in society, especially with the rise of social media and the ease with which people encounter these topics. Curious and bored individuals can explore different faiths with a click of a button and discover ways of believing that will help them achieve what they want. One familiar and new way of this is manifestation.
Many influencers preach this idea and encourage it among the youth, but it raises the question: how reliable is it? Does it actually work? This article will describe the risks, the power of manifestation, and what actually works.

Manifesting is a belief and practice of obtaining any long-term goal that you might have by affirmation or a continuous thought of it until you reflect it into reality. A lot of people do not believe in this simply because they think that it is not humanly possible to think things into existence. But, it actually is.
It is a lot simpler than you might think. It is not putting your crush's name underneath your pillow and praying he will confess his love for you tomorrow. That is simply manipulation, and in most cases, it will leave you disappointed. There is also no "magic" about it. Your brain has the capability to believe things into reality because what you see in front of you today is something you are choosing to visit. I am not forcing you to read this article; you choose to, and you decided to articulate thoughts about it. If you are manifesting something, you are creating stepping stones for this goal you might have, and eventually, with time, practice, and progress, you will get there. It might take a lot of hard work, dedication, and a lot of your life, but you have the power to shape your own reality, and make your life into whatever you desire.

2) Myths About Manifesting
With the rise of social media, there has also been a lot of speculation about this. Many people believe it is a form of witchcraft, or black magic. However, simply believing in something is no form of magic. There is nothing morally wrong in simply believing you get something, you can also think negatively, and that you'll be a failure in life, and that's not considered witchcraft, so why is thinking positively?
Another myth is that it might affect your belief in religion. However, depending on what you believe, you can center your manifesting on that belief. A common religious practice, prayer, is a form of manifesting to a being of higher regard. You asking and believing for something of your greater good does not harm the idea of your religion or change the meaning of what you are devoted to in faith.
Along with this, manifesting is not ONLY about believing. It cannot spawn a bar of gold in front of you, or make you a millionaire overnight. As I stated before, it is not magic, but a faith.
With your ability to work and dedication, you can add to it and hope to continue even when you feel far from your goals. This is what stumps a lot of people, and it is crucial to your success that you use it as a resource, not as your only method of getting what you want.

3) Where Can I Learn to Manifest?
I would argue that manifesting is a journey because you learn many things along the way of it. When I had started, I would affirm in the mirror while doing skincare, or in the morning. I watched a lot of YouTube videos on this topic and learned many more ways to approach it.
I watch many influencers such as Lumma Aziz and Simone. You can also listen to subliminals about confidence, manifesting your desires, and material things in your life. If you are not a video watcher, you can also read books by various authors. I haven't done this myself, but a cup of coffee and a trip to Barnes & Noble can help you find what you might like!
4) So, What Should You Do?
In my opinion, this can vary from person to person. Sometimes, affirmations are enough for some people to convince themselves they are capable of doing what they desire. But for others, it can take journaling and vision boards of what you want to see, and imagining everything you want clearly.
Remember, the world has multitudes of opportunities and trillions of dollars —so why can't you have some of it? Do not limit yourself to things you only think are possible based on your circumstances, because that limits you to your potential. You and I are here to break the standards and push past the limits, and you can do more than you believe. I would recommend starting small, and making your way up as you write down goals and aspirations for yourself.
