Ah, it's that time of year again! I'm not talking about aesthetically pleasing fall reset (though that is amazing), but Halloween, which I dare say is one of the best holidays of the year. The only time of the year when you can dress up as you please without stares and get free candy.

The tricky part for most is finding a costume. Which one will you pick out of the endless options? Not to mention friend group Halloween costumes, where everyone has to agree. Here are some ideas to nudge you in the right direction.

1920, 1940, 1950, and 1970 Era Costumes

Now I know this is a more unique idea. However, I believe this is a perfect group costume because numerous options are vastly different from one another, which alleviates the stress of finding costumes that everyone can participate in.

From being flapper girls to boho, you can be stylish in every decade! Moreover, I feel this is such a fun costume to do with friends and really get carried away with the accessories.

F1 Racer Costumes

The movie that overtook the summer could very well take over our Halloween costumes, and I wouldn't be complaining.

Perfect for group costumes or going solo, as you can really be creative with how you will pull it off. You can go full race suit or remix it into something stylish with gloves, leather boots, and bold colors like dark red and black.

God/Goddesses

If you are into Greek or Roman mythology, these group costumes are for you. However, even if that doesn't describe you, this is still a cute costume with all the different options (there are way too many goddesses/gods to count), featuring Aphrodite’s romantic pink dresses and jewelry, Poseidon’s ocean blues, Hades’ armor, and Zeus’ lightning.

On that same note, you could even do a Hercules-inspired group. Either way, this one’s bound to look divine.

The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club is a classic movie (if you haven’t watched it be sure check it out). The characters all have different aesthetics and styles, which is excellent, as there is a range of options for people to choose from the brain to the rebel.

This makes this a great choice for a group of friends with different styles. It’s instantly recognizable and easy to put together with items you already own, making it a budget-friendly option. I believe this is a solid choice as you can’t really go wrong with this one.

Gilmore Girls

Finally… you guessed it! I couldn’t resist putting it in here because, after all, it is fall season. Gilmore Girls is an iconic duo group costume (or dare I say trio with Emily). It could also be a couple of outfits with whoever you ship Loreali or Rory with.

Like Mean Girls or the Disney Princesses, this one’s always popular, but if you add nail the details (coffee cup, scarf, etc.) you’ll definitely stand out.
