Halloween is almost here! With it comes delicious treats, tricks, scary movies, and fun Halloween costumes. However, it can be hard to find the perfect Halloween costume and have it ready in such a short time (without paying crazy amounts of money).
Furthermore, most people want a costume to be unique, and not something that everyone else has. So, here are a few fun costume ideas that can be made in no time, for the scariest holiday of the year!
Kim Possible and/or Monique
Kim Possible has always been a popular show among children and teenagers. Not only is the show made out of fun characters, but they also dress in a simple way. You won't have to worry about not being recognized, because both Monique and Kim have iconic outfits that anyone would know upon seeing them.
Plus, they are quite easy to put together. For instance, you can put on a black long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and a belt to go as Monique this Halloween.
Ghosts
Dressing up as ghosts is perfect if you are aiming for a costume that is quick to make and fun. It's very simple: grab a white bed sheet and cut two holes for where your eyes would be! You can even add funky pairs of sunglasses to really tie the look together.
Furthermore, if you are a big friend group, this costume would be even better. The more ghosts, the merrier!
Winx Fairies
Winx has become popular again due to Netflix's production of Fate: The Winx Saga. While it was always a show adored by many, Netflix brought it back. However, as many have stated throughout the internet, they didn't like the way the characters were styled in the show, especially in the aspect of clothing. So, here is your chance to attempt to do better!
When someone says "Winx," most people imagine the characters with their wings and their special magic outfits. But the nice thing about this show, is that the characters dress up in all sorts of ways in their daily lives. For example, the picture above shows an easy costume of one of Stella's daily outfits.
You don't need any wings or sparkly outfits, just try your best to find items that match the normal outfits you've seen the characters wear on the show. Below, you can find an image showing many more examples of the characters' daily outfits.
If you wish to have a full-on Winx costume with the wings, or any fairy costume for that matter, it doesn't have to be expensive. There are many tutorials online that can show you how to make your own fairy costume. Maleficent and/or Aurora
This costume would require a bit more effort in finding the items to assemble it. However, it would be a great costume idea if you want to match up with a close friend. There is a lot of inspiration online for these two characters, and you could even use the outfits of characters from the animation or the live action movie as inspiration for your own costume.
Monster High Characters
Monster High has had a rise in popularity during the last few months, mostly due to the talk about its potential live-action movie. At first glance, this costume idea might seem a bit complicated, but if you break it down to the characters' traits, it is quite simple. For instance, most of the characters have outfits in a single color. So, if you want to be a certain one, pick clothing items with that particular color in mind.
Furthermore, you could always try to do a modern take on the characters, and style them with clothes you would usually wear. To make it a bit more special than an ordinary outfit, you can always try more expressive makeup that matches the characters, or even do something new with your hair (as shown above).
Jumanji Characters
If you are a group of friends of four or five, you can plan to go as Jumanji characters this year! Their outfits are very simple, and you don't need to do anything extra for your hair and makeup. You can go as either the Jumanji characters themselves, or even the teenagers that played the video game.

What is more fit for Halloween than the group of monster chasers themselves? This costume idea would be great for a group, but you can also choose a single character for yourself and go as them. Rory Gilmore
If you want a comfortable costume and if you love watching Gilmore Girls on repeat, then you should definitely consider going as Rory Gilmore for Halloween this year. Not only will it be easy for you to put this outfit together (since you most likely already have all the items in your closet), but Rory is also a character who many look up to. You might even make new friends who love the same show when they recognize your costume. In addition, you can also go as any of the characters from Gilmore Girls, such as Lorelai Gilmore, Lane, Sookie, Jess, Paris Geller, and so on.
There are many more fun costume ideas out there, but the costumes mentioned above are some of them. However, while they are creative costumes, they are also affordable and simple enough to recreate in the time remaining until Halloween. These costumes work both for a single person and a group of friends.
The experience of dressing up for Halloween can be more exciting if it is done with friends, so don't be afraid to ask them to make a group costume! The most important thing to remember, however, is to have fun on Halloween night with whichever costume you choose!
