Spas are so refreshing yet most of us don't get to encounter this luxury often, but there are many ways to have that same experience from home! Here you will find some DIY recipes and great ideas on how to have a spa day from home.

DIY Face masks

Face masks are one of the most sustainable forms of skincare which are also very fun to administer yet, most natural and organic face mask tend to not achieve a reasonable price range. Since it is recommended to apply face mask weekly, it may be a lot easier to simply make them at home your self, DIY face masks are simplistic, natural, affordable and you don't need to go out and buy the ingredients since they should already be in your kitchen!

Hydrating and plumping face mask

Ingredients

1/4 avocado

1 tablespoon of honey

3 tablespoons of oats

Simply mix all the ingredients together and apply to your face and keep it on for 10 to 15 minutes. This face mask is one for you if you have dry or dehydrated skin, the ingredients work together to give you are gorgeous and refreshing glow, the oats have many healing and hydrating properties which will result in gorgeous dewy skin, and the natural oils in avocado will soften your skin and will help towards reducing acne and skin inflammation.

Face mask for oily skin

Ingredients:

1 egg white

1 teaspoon of lemon juice

1 teaspoon of honey

Whisk the mixture until frothy and apply to your face for 10 to 15 minutes. This face mask is fantastic for oily skin, due to the fact that egg white helps to tighten the skin and shrink large pores, after using this mask your skin should provide a firm and glowing sensation. This mask is great for firming the skin and allowing your face to cleanse and relax.

Face mask for uneven skin

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons of natural (unflavored yogurt) / Greek yogurt

1 teaspoon of honey

1/2 a teaspoon of turmeric

Directions

Mix all ingredients together and leave on the face for around 12 minutes, this mask will smooth and even out the texture of your skin, it is great for sunburn or if you are looking to even out your skin tone.

A candlelight bath will definitely set the scene when it's that time to unwind and spend some time with yourself, it can make the experience more worthy, lighting candles can provide the perfect atmosphere to calm yourself and induce a sense of well-being.

Buy a bath bomb

A good bath bomb doesn't hurt anyone, a bit of color in your bath essentially makes the idea more fun and should result in you coming out of that bath smelling delicious, bath bombs are such a fun way of relaxing and making your bath a bit more exciting.

Read a magazine

I personally love to read a bit of vogue in the bath, it's a good way to take your mind off of stress and to alleviate your mind.

Have a tasty treat

Although it may sound weird, you should definitely try having a naughty snack in the bath, maybe you could be super fancy and make some pancakes, a snack in the bath has an indescribable sensation to it which is just so enjoyable.

Treat yourself to a manicure

Painting your nails can provide a sense of accomplishment and can appear really enjoyable whilst on call to a friend or listening to your favorite music, it is always nice to feel polished after providing yourself with a little manicure and pedicure. You could even soak your feet in hot water and exfoliant if you're seeking a deluxe pamper then this is the perfect idea for you. Hydrating mask (good for hair damage)

Ingredients:

1/2 avocado

1 egg

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 tablespoon of honey

Mix together and apply to damp hair, wash off and wash your hair as you normally would.
