How to Bring Goddess Energy Into 2021

How to Bring Goddess Energy Into 2021

Beauty & Style

January 14, 2021

2020 was a rough year for all of us, so I know I'm not the only one when I say: I want nothing more than to learn from it and move on as quickly as possible. Since the beginning of 2020, most of us have paid attention to social rules and peer pressure, but since quarantine, not as many people are judging us. This is the year to experiment, and do as many things out of our comfort zones as possible.

Style Rebranding

We all have the fashion styles that we see other people pull-off so well, but we just can't see ourselves doing the same. Our heads get in the way of letting us try new things. Since we're inside all the time, this is the perfect opportunity to try something new and just look at ourselves in the mirror. Whether you're shopping online or shopping in stores, buy whatever clothing piece you want to try, just for fun.

I've been really self-conscious about my body and what I “should” or “shouldn't” wear. During the past 6 months, I've decided to go against all the rules in my head about why I shouldn't wear something, and to just try it. If it doesn't look good, I know that I won't buy something like that again in the future.

I ended up getting my first beanie even though I thought it wasn't for me. It turns out that I might actually be able to add it to my own style. Dresses and skirts seem to have been also calling my name with the allure of fanciness and escaping the real world and starring in a fairy tale. Our perception of life can change through the clothing we choose, so choose something that takes you to far-away places and lets you explore your true self.

If you feel self-conscious like I do, you don't have to worry anymore. The only person who has to see your outfit, is you! If it looks stunning on you, it can make you feel more confident than you ever did before. So even if you don't go out and show off your new outfit, it's still yours to enjoy and find comfort in.

Dye Your Hair

If you've ever wanted to dye your hair, now is the time to do it. This is the time to find what makes you the most confident in yourself. If a different color of hair will make you excited and confident, then do it.

It doesn't matter if it looks bad, you can easily learn from your mistakes before any of your friends have the chance to see. If it looks amazing, make sure you make the most of it and take a million pictures of the confident, new you!

Spontaneous Trips

A precaution with this tip is to make sure you abide by social distancing guidelines based on wherever you are, and always wear a mask. Other than that, make sure to take advantage of the lack of traffic, and plan a day trip to a cute destination. If you want, you can have meet-ups with your friends.

Photo shoots are also a fantastic idea for get-togethers. Some possible location choices can be the beach, small downtown shops, cafes, snowy mountains, and meadows.

On spontaneous trips, picnics are a cool way to relax and show yourself some love. Trips are usually associated with stress-free, joyful feelings of being able to escape the struggles of everyday life. These trips are no different because you can avoid the stress of having to plan anything.

No excessive day-plans need to be planned because everything is up to you at the moment. Anything you want to do, you can do. It's all up to how you're feeling; the ultimate sense of freedom.

Priority Planning

In the complete opposite direction of spontaneity, planning is also an important part of making sure that life goes right. Without planning, how can we guarantee that we'll be successful? It allows us to remain on track and to keep pushing forward, even when life wants to pull us down. Planners remind us every day that even though there's a lot on our plates, the light at the end of the tunnel is always in sight.

Planning can help us feel like we're still in control, especially through the turbulent time we faced dealing with 2020. By reassessing our priorities, we can put our lives back on track and seize the day.

Besides being practical tools for regaining control, planners have the power of motivating us through the ability to use whatever color pens we want, using stickers to mark important dates, and even writing motivational quotes inside to remind us to keep going. For me, all of these reasons help keep me motivated to use my planner daily, and to constantly stride towards bettering myself.

Incorporate Bling

If you're like me, you're probably obsessed with accessorizing. I absolutely love feeling like royalty when I decide to wear jewelry. Days feel bland when I wear the same earrings over and over again.

However, whenever I change them, I feel like I'm walking on air. Same thing goes for necklaces, bracelets, and rings. Each one of these make me feel special and like the goddess that I am.

There's just something about adding shiny objects to any outfit even if you're just staying at home, in your bed all day. It can make even the worst days more bearable. Some people even love to make their own jewelry. It can incorporate the prideful sensation into the already goddess-like experience that you are living through by just accessorizing in the first place.

Jewelry makes self-expression so much easier to accomplish.

Trying New Things

Have you ever wanted to try a new restaurant, or learn a new hobby? Well now's the time to do it. It's a new year, and a new year to find out what you enjoy, even if it wasn't in your comfort bubble before.

This year, you can make it more of an inclusive bubble for all the new, scary additions, and the old, comfortable habits. Maybe you've always wanted to learn how to play an instrument, but you were afraid you wouldn't be good enough. Now's the time to step out and do it. Buy all the books you can find on how to play, and practice every day.

The point is, this past year has been crazy for all of us, but this is the perfect time to reclaim our lives and live them to the fullest.
