I’m going to admit something… I have never been a big makeup girl.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love makeup. But I have never been that great at it. For me, the best I could do with makeup is just a brush of mascara, some blush, maybe some contour and highlighter if I am really going for it… but I’ve never been able to do the full-beat makeup that I have always admired and seen all over social media.
There is something so intimidating about strong makeup; the whole process of doing it seems so scary because I’m not as experienced at it, but it just seems so fun.

I have always wanted to give strong makeup a try, so I decided to overcome that nervousness of trying new things and really give it a shot. Of course, as a complete beginner, I wasn’t sure where to begin, but when I came across Natasha Denona, things changed up.

When it comes to a perfected going-out makeup look with that glittery, painted-on eyelid or that bold matte lipstick, Natasha Denona is truly the best of the best.

Founded by award-winning leading makeup artist Natasha Denona, the namesake brand is inspired by the incredible looks she has created for fashion and beauty campaigns and covers of magazines around the world.
“My secret is my formulas,” says Natasha, “I personally design every product from start to finish using only the highest-quality ingredients in the world.”

With high-caliber products that actually create that fierce look straight from the magazines, Natasha Denona is all about embracing your highest self and feeling bold, confident, and like your best self.
Even for a total smokey-eye newbie like me, I actually found the products incredibly easy to start with– and best of all, they actually look good. Behold, the 3 products you will need for the easiest beginner-friendly smokey eye:
Step 1: The Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette
I thought the smokey eye was the scariest thing in the world because of how complicated it seemed- but it isn’t rocket science and it’s not as intimidating as it seems.
Natasha Denona makes it so easy to master the perfect going-out, everyday smokey eye, and all it takes is just 5 shades.

This all-matte neutral mini eyeshadow palette has a 5-pan palette, which offers the perfect neutral bases of fair to black, making it so easy to sculpt and shape the eyes for all skin tones.
To use, all you have to do is follow Natasha’s easy-to-get instructions:
FIRST
Use lightest shades to brighten the inner corner of the eye (1), the eyelid (2) and the brow bone (1).
THEN
Apply medium and deep shades to emphasize the crease (3) and outer corner of the eye (4).
NEXT
Enhance lash line with the darker shades (4-5) using a small eyeshadow brush.

I am obsessed with how buttery-soft and smooth the textures of the eyeshadows are; it’s so easy to blend, and I love that it doesn’t look too harsh but definitely shows.
Step 2: The Sharpest Liner
I honestly think this is the liner that has converted me from mascara to liner. I am totally obsessed with this eyeliner and words cannot do justice on how well this works.

Created with a high concentration of pigment, this eyeliner is jet black and here to stay. With a precise applicator tip, this will create the most fine lines and is balanced in its glide and control. It’s really easy to create the lines exactly the way you want them to be placed.
Plus, the strong pigment stands out, even with an applied base of eyeshadow. The liner is here to stand out and be admired.

This eyeliner genuinely has the cleanest application I have ever seen, and it looks so sharp, crisp, and perfect. Even with my beginner approach, this liner was incredibly simple, and it lasted all day- exactly what I needed!
Step 3: Curl for the Longest Lashes
Last but not least, you certainly cannot forget the eyelash curler.
I feel like curling the lashes really makes the eyes pop and make you look totally awake, and I don’t know what I would do without one.

The Natasha Denona eyelash curler is special in particular because it doesn’t crimp or pull at the lashes.
I have been through too many painful experiences with cheap, poor-quality lash curlers, but this one genuinely hasn’t hurt one bit. With a soft silicone pad that actually protects, this lash curler creates an amazing, natural-looking curl to the lashes.
