Hard Truths I Learned to Achieve Glass Skin: 3 Steps for the Healthiest Glow with Effective K-Beauty from Abib Korean Skincare

Beauty

December 01, 2025

For the longest time, I’ve struggled with imperfect skin.

From textured pores that seem way too big to painful red scarring from popping acne (sorry, not to get graphic, but IYKYK, those are the worst), skincare has been nothing short of a rollercoaster journey.

If you’ve ever struggled with your skin before, you’ll know exactly what I mean. There is something so frustrating about not being able to heal your skin, especially when the skincare world seems so complicated and confusing.

However, after many trials and errors of experimenting with just about every skincare product on the market and trying even the craziest DIY rituals from my TikTok For You Page, I’ve come to realize that skincare genuinely doesn’t have to be that complicated.

Skincare Truths I’ve Realized (The Hard Way)

  1. Having a 12-step skincare regimen is meaningless if most of the things are just fluff. Realistically, you do not need five different types of serums in your AM skincare routine—it might just end up making your skin break out instead.
  2. Just because skincare products are more expensive doesn’t mean they’re better. Drugstore products might actually end up costing you less, but they could be more effective at what they are supposed to do.
  3. Don’t overcomplicate the ingredients. You objectively might not need tons of fragrances in your cleansers and toners, especially if you have sensitive skin.

If the biggest hack I’ve learned along the way counts for anything, it’s that the power of K-Beauty should not be underestimated. If you’ve looked into skincare at all, you have definitely heard of K-Beauty; it’s heralded as the top-tier skincare, as the products are made with higher standards, and its ride-or-die users genuinely see effective results.

After doing my research, I came across glutathiosome.

The Skincare Ingredient You Need To Know About

Glutathiosome is mainly known for its antioxidant and brightening properties. The ingredient helps protect skin cells from oxidative stress, helping with anti-aging. It also reduces hyperpigmentation by inhibiting melanin production, enhancing the brightness and glow of the skin.

For this, I trust nothing more than Abib Laboratory. Abib is based in Seoul, South Korea, and was created with the method of “the only way to the perfection is endless experiments.”

“Although the skin has its healing process from creating cells, growth and death repeatedly, the skin of modern people have lost its self-perpetuating ability due to several reasons,” says the brand.

With their high-grade products, Abib Laboratory is dedicated to increasing the self-generating power of the skin and increasing the defensive power against external stimuli.

One thing about me, I’ll always be curious— and Abib had incredible credit from its science-based products and support from thousands of authentic reviews. So, I decided to give it a shot.

Since using Abib’s Glutathiosome products, my skin has genuinely never looked brighter. Winter always gets my skin feeling a bit dull and tired, but within just days of adding Abib into my skincare routine, I have seriously never noticed my skin naturally glowing from within.

Without further ado, below are my absolute favorites from their Glutathiosome line:

The Glutathiosome Dark Spot Toner

If there’s one thing I’ve learned after years of trying to “fix” my skin, it’s that toners can either make or break a routine. Some are basically scented water, others make your skin feel tight and stripped. Abib’s Glutathiosome Dark Spot Toner Skin Booster is neither.

From the very first use, I noticed how quickly it sinks in.

There’s no tackiness or harsh scent, but just a refreshing wash of hydration that immediately calmed my redness. The formula is comprised of a greatest-hits list of ingredients that actually do something: Glutathione and Ascorbic Acid for brightening, Niacinamide for smoothing, and multiple forms of Hyaluronic Acid to give that plush, bouncy feel.

What surprised me most was how effectively it tackled uneven tone. I have some stubborn post-acne marks along my cheeks, and within a week, that dull, shadowy cast started to look noticeably lighter. My skin genuinely looked healthier, and this has now become a staple in my routine.

The Glutathiosome Dark Spot Serum

Serums tend to be the biggest hit or miss because they can either work wonders or do nothing at all, and I was honestly skeptical about the promise of visible improvement in just three days.

But this one actually lived up to the hype more than I expected.

The lightweight, watery texture absorbed almost instantly into my skin without piling or stickiness, and it also didn’t leave a heavy film sitting on top of my moisturizer. That alone was a huge plus. It layers beautifully, which is a must for me since I often wear makeup.

But onto the actual skincare benefits. The brightening trifecta—Glutathione, Niacinamide, and Vitamin C—feels powerful but surprisingly gentle. My skin tends to be pretty sensitive, and doesn’t react well to a lot of the Vitamin C formulas. However, with this one, I never experienced irritation.

My stubborn dark spots looked slightly faded within only a few days, and the overall tone of my face looked more even and “alive.” It also left my skin feeling super hydrated and barrier-protected, which is huge heading into colder months when my skin is usually at its driest and most sensitive.

The Glutathiosome Facial Moisturizer

At first squeeze, this moisturizer looks like a thicker cream, but it melts into the skin with such a lightweight feel that you’ll forget it was ever on at all. My favorite part was how it didn’t leave a greasy residue, but my face still felt moisturized hours later.

The ingredient profile of the moisturizer mirrors the toner, which creates a nice continuity, especially as you’re supposed to layer your moisturizer immediately after the toner. This moisturizer features Glutathione for its antioxidant glow, Niacinamide for smoothing and pore appearance, Hyaluronic Acid and Beta-Glucan for that deep, cushiony hydration, and Ascorbic Acid to subtly brighten over time.

What really sold me is how well this cream locks everything in. It gives that soft, dewy finish you see in K-beauty skin routines, where it’s not shiny, not oily, but just naturally radiant. It’s the kind of moisturizer that works seamlessly morning or night, under makeup or on bare skin.

Some of My Other Favorites From Abib

These aren’t part of my core three-step routine, but they’ve earned permanent spots on my vanity shelf:

Abib Vita Touch

A perfect on-the-go brightening stick that delivers instant dewiness. I swipe it over my face when I need a quick refresh, especially when I want to feel extra cleansed.

Abib Glow Collagen Mask (Glutathiosome Film)

If you ever want a “my skin but better” day, use this the night before. This is the famous transparent film mask that has taken the internet by storm. My skin literally feels tighter, bouncier, and visibly more luminous after 20 minutes.

Abib Glutathiosome Fit

Think of this as a concentrated glow booster. It gives that poreless, glass-like sheen, especially helpful before events, long days, or whenever my skin needs an instant pick-me-up. Also, I'm impressed by the amount of serum this sheet mask packs in. I had so much leftover that it went straight to my neck (because one should never neglect the neck as part of skincare).
