Waves crashing on the ocean shore and seagulls flying up above. While this is only a part of what the ocean can do, only true listeners of its secrets can understand. This is the music of the ocean for all those who listen.
The ocean is a great place for family vacations, especially when trying to chill on its sandy coast. The beach is a glorious place to replenish one’s energy. A mental and physical place to recharge on the three R’s: rest, relaxation, and recovery. Personally, I believe it’s best to visit the beach one hour before sunset, to experience the sun’s last goodbyes of the day.

Resting can mean different things to different people, since everyone is unique. As for me, I believe it means napping or unwinding. When you get that gentle breeze, your eyes start to close as your body temperature decreases.
Some ways to rest your body and mind is kicking up your feet and lying down. From this, your parasympathetic nerve system will activate, causing your heart rate to decrease. What’s more, mediation can also decrease your heart rate as well.

Take the Quiz: Are You Obsessed or Fixated?
Answer these question to know if you are fixated or obsessed. Self-awareness is the first step to stopping.
Relaxing
It might not seem like it, but there is a difference between being calm and relaxed. This is because someone might seem calm, while their inner thoughts can actually be very chaotic. Which is why people try to take a break from the real world and lay off.
Some elements that can help with that, have to be listening to the sounds of the waves or walking across the beach shore. From this one can find many things that can be very relaxful. Like observing the crabs walking along the sand as it finds a new shell, and feeling the water all around your toes. After trying these methods, someone may find some serenity.

Recovery
After a long hard day one does not only need to relax and rest but recover. If you have not recovered then you didn’t completely experience what the beach has to offer. Recovery means that you are finally refreshed after having some me time or gal time.
Perhaps even inner peace before you come back to society and work. There are two types of recovery mental and physical that the beach provides.

Mental Recovery
After a long day, your brain can feel exhausted, which is why the beach is a perfect place to wash those worries away. A safe haven for the mind’s worries. This is why the beach is the best place to smooth out those rough edges.
Picture a smooth guava smoothie in your hand inside the cup holder. Then imagine a long lounge chair, with a bit of sun beaming through the towering umbrellas. Consequently, I recently just went to the beach and had a big assignment that week. However, it took me a couple of days of chilling on the beach playing beach ball and paddle ball for me to no longer feel writer's block. A break from the hardships of the real world problems.

Physical Recovery
The beach is a place of healing not only for the mind but also the body. Its salty water can provide numerous health benefits, including improved skin care and pain relief. This is because the water contains anti-inflammatory properties that can ease the pain of one's throat, stomach, and more.
The saltwater also has minerals contained inside its water like magnesium, calcium, and potassium. I remember the sayings my parents say on how you should gargle salt water. This saying is actually true and not made up because the ocean’s saltwater properties can help you. Which is why we must treasure nature’s greatest gifts, like the ocean.

Beach
The beach is a great place for many things but being with friends and family is a true treasure! A getaway to a paradise where you can feel free to express yourself in ways that can truly make you happy, not pressured or getting stared at from others. Playing beach ball on the sands or having a party on the beach shores.
Finding seashells with the perfect swirls or perhaps the sounds of the ocean waiting to greet you inside. I remember feeling so elevated when I went to the beach , playing all sorts of games with my family. Then, exhaustion finally kicked in and my mind settled, next thing I knew I was asleep. No matter what, the beach is the place to be!

Closing
In the end it’s up to you. It’s your life, your style, your body. Try to enjoy the time there, because time goes by fast, and things come and go.
People's lives change and get busier every day. Still in school, I know for a fact my life is way more complicated than in elementary school, compared to now. Which is why sometimes we can forget how to experience the three R’s. Making the beach a very important place to society.

Tips
- Put sunscreen inside before you go outside, preferably a less sticky one! This is super important!
- Bring extra clothes, loose ones preferably
- Bring a beach ball since most places don't have one or you have to buy them
- Bring lots of water bottles for hydration
- When swimming in the ocean bring a cup of ice and water so you can stop the stinging from the salt in your eyes.
- Put on sunglasses for eye protection from the sun.
- A metal water bottle is advised for drinkers that like cold refreshing water. Since they insulate the cold better than plastic.
- When you bring sandals to the beach don't let them get wet, or all the sand will stick onto it.
