Waiting for Your Favorite Show to Renew? 5 Shows to Watch During That Time

Shows have become one of the main sources of entertainment during these harsh times.

Being able to dive into other character's stories has provided people with a break from reality. Even if it's for a few minutes, it's exactly what people have been wanting.

Quarantine allowed many people to catch up on their favorite shows, while also finding new ones.

But binge-watching means that the final episode of the final season is here and it just ended. Now you're sitting there endlessly scrolling through all the shows there are and not knowing what to watch.

So, I am here to help you out with this list of 10 different shows to watch while you wait for a new season of that favorite show.

1. Scorpion

Walter O'Brien with an IQ of 197(the fourth-highest ever recorded), was 11 years old when he got arrested for hacking NASA to get their blueprints for his bedroom walls.

When he was arrested (and he was released soon after because of a deal), Agent Cabe Gallo became like a father figure to him. But due to an incident between the two, they grew apart and stopped talking for many years.

They finally reunite after many years, when Agent Gallo reaches out because of a threat that he and his team(made up of other geniuses) could solve. As the team tries to land more than 20 planes (who have lost communication) to safely land, Walter meets a waitress, who has a son that also has a very high IQ.

Since people with a high IQ have a very low EQ (emotional quotient), Walter agrees to take the kid under his wing to help him understand the world. This show has a total of 4 seasons and is one of my personal favorites.

2. The Rookie

The series follows John Nolan, a 40-year-old man who moves to Los Angeles from his cozy, small-town life in order to fulfill his dream of becoming a Los Angeles Police Department police officer.

He has to navigate a “young” cop's risky, funny, and unpredictable world, determined to make his second shot count in life.

It's not easy to start with, particularly for the small-town guy John Nolan, who is following his dream of becoming an LAPD officer after a life-changing incident.

He is wary of some higher-ups who consider him as just a walking midfield problem as the oldest rookie of the force. He's going to risk lives, including his very own, if he can't keep up with young cops and criminals.

But if he can take advantage of his life experience, loyalty, and humor to give him an edge, in the new chapter of his life he will just become a success.

3. 9-1-1 Lone Star

9-1-1: Lone Star follows a sophisticated firefighter who moves from Manhattan to Austin, Texas, with his son. He must strive to balance the roles of saving the people in need of help of his own life and fixing the problems.

This show is a spinoff of the original 911 series. There is no need to watch the original series to be able to understand this.

911 Lone Star has 2 seasons with the second one currently airing.

4. Wandavision

Wanda Maximoff and Vision live an idyllic suburban life in Westview City three weeks after Avengers: Endgame, they strive to hide their strengths. The couple believes that things aren't as they appear as they begin to reach new decades and experience TV stereotypes.

This is a brand-new show that just premiered a few weeks ago. But being the first Marvel content released in the past year, it has become a huge hit.

This show will successfully fulfill any Marvel fans desperately wanting new content.

5. Agents of shield

Agent Phil Coulson returns to S.H.I.E.L.D., a multinational law enforcement agency.

He provides a small, highly skilled team of agents to deal with the events, the fresh and strange and the unknown that have yet to be classified. Coulson first has to convince an ex-field agent (known as the cavalry) to let go of her past, then two scientists who don't have any experience in the field, and one of the best field agents to work together with this team.

This show has a total of 7 seasons and is also a Marvel franchise show. As being one of the biggest Marvel fans, this show is my favorite show of all time.

Everyone needs a break, if for just an hour a day. Anything they admire, something that helps them forget their issues.

For any person of all ages, shows are the perfect break.

Some of my highlights are here, and I really hope you enjoy them too.
