1. Teke Teke, Japan

Teke Teke is a scary Japanese ghost of a girl that made its own name in the world of urban legends and horror movies. She is kind of similar to Kuchisake-onna.

Her name comes from the noises she makes when she's chasing people, running across the ground with her hands since her lower body was ripped off, leaving only her upper body and arms.

She is part of a big group of Japanese demons called “Vengeful ghosts”, which are usually women. These demons used to be to humans before they died due to bullying or killing.

Teke Teke was once Chizo, a woman who was bullied. After some time, she could not take the bullying so she jumped off a train station onto the track. She was then split in half by a train, but she managed to survive as it was cold.

Chizo crawled to someone for help, but when people saw how badly she was hurt, they left her to die. Now, her vengeful spirit roams around on the streets of Japan.

2. Dow Hill Forest, India

The Dow Hill forest of Kurseong is known as one of the most haunted places in India. It's tucked away under the shadow of its neighboring hill town of Darjeeling, but what draws visitors is the spooky spots and stories linked to this place.

There's a little road connecting Dow Hill Road and the Forest office, and the locals call it the ‘death road.' The folks working in the forests reported seeing a young boy with no head walking down the road and then suddenly vanishing into the woods.

There is a popular legend about the headless boy I'd like to share. If you are walking down the death road and you hear someone coming, listen up carefully. If the whispers are coming from behind you or you can't see where they're coming from, head the other way, and don't look back.

You'll be just fine. But, if you see the kid coming towards you or even if you catch a glimpse of him, then he is stuck with you forever. Going through the woods is tough, but if you hear someone coming behind you… don't look back!

Many visitors feel like they are being watched or followed when wandering in the forest. People have even seen a ghostly eye and a woman dressed in gray clothes just wandering around. Some who have been to these creepy forests have gone crazy because they couldn't shake off the feeling of being chased. Some have even taken their own life.

Close by these forests, there's a boys school that is rumored to be haunted too. The locals say the spooky vibe of the woods is transferred over to the school. They claim you can hear ghostly whispers and footsteps from the school when it's closed during the winter months to early spring.

3. The Last Bus to Fragrant Hills, Beijing

The explanation of this urban legend is hidden in its story.

The incident took place on a dark night in November 1995 in Beijing, China. An old woman was waiting at the bus station, chatting with the only person present there: a young boy who was quiet all the time. The midnight bus 375, which was also the last bus for Route 375 from Yuan Ming Huan bus station, shows up.

The two of them got in. On the bus, there was nobody apart from the bus driver, a female ticket collector, and the two passengers who just got in.

A while later, the driver saw two shadows by the side waving at the bus. He stopped the bus, and three people got in instead of two. Two guys were holding up another seemingly unconscious guy.

Not too soon, the old woman started to fight with the young boy and things started to heat up. After a heated argument, the bus driver stopped the bus and both of them got off.

The old woman explained to the young boy that those three new people didn't have legs and that they were floating. They were dead!

A few days later, the police found the bus near a water reservoir about 100km away from where it was supposed to be. It was in Xiang-shan or the Fragrant Hills. Inside the bus, were 3 decomposed bodies.

So, the next time you travel by bus be careful!
