The upcoming F1 movie announced an impressive lineup of artists that will contribute to the soundtrack album, including Ed Sheeran, Rose, Doja Cat, Tate McRae, and more.
Formula 1 is hitting the big screen with the intense F1 movie, directed by Joseph Kosinski, which will premiere globally on June 27, 2025. It stars Brad Pitt as the retired driver Sonny Hayes and Damson Idris, who plays rookie Joshua Pearce.
Pitt and Damson were trained for almost three months before getting into the movie-making vehicles. They started in Formula 3 cars before moving up to Formula 2 cars.
The movie follows the story of Sonny Hayes, a Formula One driver who raced in the 1990s, had a terrible crash, and was forced to retire. Thirty years later, a Formula One team owner, Ruben, reaches out to Hayes and asks him to come out of retirement to mentor a rookie driver, Joshua Pearce, for the Apex Grand Prix team. Ruben is determined that Hayes is the solution to the struggling team and believes he can help them achieve their championship goals.
The soundtrack of the F1 movie officially kicked off on April 30 with the single 'Lose My Mind' as a collaboration between Grammy winner Doja Cat and Houston rapper Don Toliver. It has already reached over 1.7 million views on YouTube.
The movie soundtrack will be released by Atlantic Records on June 27, 2025, the same day as the film's North American theatrical release.
