Who doesn't love Target? It's a grocery store, department store, craft store, and convenience store all rolled into one! A growing obsession with Target among the younger population is understandable; Target has so much to offer all at extremely affordable prices.

If you have yet to hop on the Target bandwagon, no need to stress. Here is a list of ten of the top teen finds at Target perfect for yourself or someone else.

1. Jeans

While I like teen clothing brands such as PacSun and Hollister, I don't like spending over $50 on a single pair of jeans. Luckily, Target has you covered with cute and trendy jeans for a fraction of the price. In 2018, Target took over the brand Wild Fable to connect more with their younger shoppers and make the store more accessible to everyone. Wild Fable carries high-quality clothing that is size-inclusive and all under $40; you can buy a pair of jeans for only $22.

When jeans shopping, I usually have to choose between cost and style. But I can say from personal experience that Wild Fable has effectively combined low cost with colors and styles teens want, and that makes Target a great alternative to your typical pricey brands. The addition of cheap jeans and other clothing from Wild Fable has also dramatically expanded Target's junior section, making the store even more appealing to teens.

2. Jewelry

It's no surprise that a store like Target would carry jewelry, but their collection of earrings, necklaces, and much more from several brands is impressive. The two biggest jewelry brands at Target are Universal Threads and A New Day, with Universal Threads being slightly more expensive. I love this section just because you can always find something that catches your eyes, and there are so many things to choose from! Speaking of accessories, Target also has shoulder bags/purses, sunglasses, and other items that can spice up any outfit for as little as $5.

3. Other Clothing

Target's apparel brands such as Wild Fable, A New Day, and Universal Threads bring you trending clothing that won't break the bank. You can find anything from crewnecks and sweatshirts to summer tank tops and accessories to athletic wear and shoes. With good quality and a wide range of styles and sizes, there's something for everyone. Clothing can be extremely expensive and if you don't want to buy from Shein like me, you really can't go wrong with Target.

4. Swimwear

If you've noticed that swimwear is extremely expensive lately, you wouldn't be the only one. But with Target, there's no need to spend over $50 on a single top. You can build your own suit by combining different textures, styles, and colors from a wide array of suits, and you can walk away with a full suit (top and bottom!) for about $38. There are also tons of options for girls, guys, and others with bikinis, tankinis, one-pieces, lapsuits, rash guards, swim trunks, swim skirts, and more.

And don't forget about the other swimming essentials! While you're there, pick up swim coverups and accessories for as low as $10. These suits are of great quality and perfect for a day at the beach or lounging by the pool.

The swim section is known as one of Target's “hidden gems” because you can basically find something for any style and preference. And because summer is already in full swing, you may even be able to snag a suit on sale!

5. Room/Dorm Decor

Target is pretty well-known for its outstanding collection of home decor. You could easily spend a day wandering their home aisles and imagining all the different ways you would redecorate your room. And for all you high-school seniors, Target is the perfect place to shop for dorm decor including practical items such as rolling carts for storage, shelving units, and bedding as well as more fun decorations like wall hangings, rugs, beanbags, and fake plants (definitely check out the huge selection of fake plants already fake planted in little pots if you are as bad of a plant parents as me).

You don't have to sacrifice price for style at Target, and you can still create Pinterest-worthy rooms even with a low budget. And, be sure to check this section out for birthday or grad gifts since room and dorm decor is always popular among teens. I love how easy it is to elevate your space with items that make mixing and matching super fun and simple. Whether it's for a gift or for yourself, the home and decor section at Target never disappoints.

6. Books

Target is known for having pretty much anything you can think of, but have you ever browsed their book selection? Most people aren't at Target for book shopping, but there's no reason not to make a quick stop in this section, especially if you're the type of person that prefers to buy them instead of borrow. Of course, the prices of Target's book section vary, but you can get some paperbacks for as little as $6 with most books capped at around $15.

If you absolutely must get your hands on a specific book, check Target first because your typical book stores are often overpriced, or, at the very least, considerably more expensive than Target. It is also important to note that all Target stores are different and while all of them are likely to carry clothing and groceries, it is possible that not all of them carry books. If your Target doesn't, be sure to check their website where you can find an even greater selection and special discounts.

7. Summer/Holiday Items

Ever desperately want a cool pool float in the shape of a vintage cassette? Yeah, me neither, but that is just one of the many great (and random) things you can find in Target's summer aisle. From colorful tote bags to flip-flops to towels, you'll have everything you need for a day at the beach or everything for a cute summer birthday gift. That's one of the best things about Target: there are tons of things you can easily find for yourself, and tons of things that everybody, including yourself, loves which makes the store a great gift destination.

And when it's not summer, Target also has holiday items for whatever holiday is closest. That might mean you can shop for Halloween in August, but Target is anything if not prepared. A lot of these things can be found in the dollar section (later on in this list), which makes decorating and party-throwing cheap and easy.

8. School Supplies

Target is also a great place to find school supplies all year round. But especially in July and August, Target rolls out its huge store of notebooks, pens, backpacks, and anything else you might need for the school year. While it's a little sad to walk by this section during the summer, it is a good idea to take a look before everything gets picked over in August. Another tip: Target has some of the cheapest planners I've seen, but they get bought pretty quickly as with other supplies, so definitely don't wait if you're in need of any school-related items.

9. Beauty Products

This is definitely a teen find worth mentioning even if the prices of beauty products such as makeup and hair care don't differ very much from other places. Even so, Target has a plethora of goodies in this department, more than drugstores such as Walgreens or CVS. And there are plenty of products exclusive to Target that many people swear by, so a walk-through of this section is a must for any beauty gurus or self-care enjoyers out there.

10. Dollar Others

When I say dollar others, I'm talking about another Target perk: the dollar section. Often at the front of the store, this section has tons of super-cheap items starting at just $1. A lot of these things are gimmicky and not something you need to be spending money on (like most dollars stores) but it is a lot of fun to look at all the random stuff there.

And for just a dollar, why not get something you don't need? It'll entertain you on the ride home, so it's worth the money.

But seriously, the dollar store is a great place to find little gifts such as mini hand sanitizer bottles, hand lotion, stickers, and journals, among much more. You never know what you mind find in the dollar section, and that's really part of the fun.
