On July 4th, tragedy struck Kerr County and other surrounding counties in Texas when the Guadalupe River rose 26 feet in a mere 45 minutes, causing rapid flooding. As of now, around 120 deaths have been confirmed, and 173 people are still missing.
Due to this event, many folks both local and states away have wondered how they can help, and luckily, there are many ways we can lend a helping hand whether we reside ten hours or five minutes away.
There have been several charities, churches, non-profit organizations and others helping in the aftermath of the floods, and some have asked for donations to keep their efforts afloat.

Austin Pets Alive! is a non-profit shelter which has been heavily involved in searching for and rescuing displaced animals, and has saved the lives of over fifty pets so far in this tragedy.
They are asking for emergency donations so they can keep helping the animals.
There have also been several general flood relief funds set up with the purpose of helping to rebuild the communities left destitute and destroyed.

- Graham Media Group, and Gray Media Inc. partnered with The Salvation Army to launch the donation drive 'Together for Texas' to raise funds for families and communities impacted by the floods
The disaster response and recovery nonprofit organization Good360 is asking for donations so they can help provide the following to victims:
- Cleanup kits (gloves, bleach, mops, etc.)
- Bottled water and hygiene supplies
- Diapers, wipes, and infant formula
- Clothing, protective boots, and other essentials
- Fans and dehumidifiers to prevent mold and protect health
- Portable solar equipment to provide important power for response operations, community shelters, etc.
CoreGiving, an organization which, according to its website, "helps advance the critical work of food banks and other hunger-relief organizations" has partnered with the San Antonio Food Bank to deliver water, food, and other supplies to families affected by the flooding.
Folks can donate towards those efforts here.
