Fruit Kebab

Skewer a colorful assortment of fresh fruits like watermelon, pineapple, grapes, and berries for a sweet and hydrating treat that's easy to enjoy while lounging in the water! Fruits are not only an excellent source of vitamins and nutrients, but they're also high in fiber.

To make these refreshing snacks start by washing them thoroughly, then cut or cube all the fruit into bite-size pieces. Add the bite-sized fruit onto the skewers by the sharp side and if you're ready to serve these kebabs later, squeeze lemon juice on the fruit and cover them in plastic wrap to preserve them later.

Frozen Grapes

This one goes without saying but freeze a bunch of grapes for a delightful and refreshing snack that doubles as a natural popsicle, providing a burst of sweetness and a cooling effect. These humble little globes of goodness also pack a powerful nutritional punch, making them an excellent addition to your daily diet. One of the standout benefits of grapes is their ability to support your immune system.

Packed with vitamin C, they can fortify your body's defenses against bacterial and viral infections, offering protection against various ailments, including yeast infections. The antioxidant-rich nature of grapes makes them formidable allies in the fight against cancer. By combating free radicals and reducing oxidative stress, these rich fruits help safeguard your cells from damage, potentially lowering the risk of cancer. Grapes contain resveratrol, a specific antioxidant that not only fights inflammation but also inhibits the growth of cancer cells. Not only can you eat a snack that keeps you cool, but it also keeps your body healthy.

Mini Sandwiches or Wraps

You can't go wrong with the classics! Prepare some bite-sized sandwiches or wraps with an assortment of fillings such as turkey, cheese, lettuce, and cucumber for a convenient and portable poolside snack. If you're looking for some inspiration, then try making these turkey sliders with bacon and avocado or chicken Caesar wraps:

Ingredients:

24 Hawaiian rolls (2 packs)

2 cups turkey meat, shredded

3 ripe avocados; reserve one for garnish

¾ cup cream cheese, room temperature

1 Tablespoon dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

½ lemon, juiced

2 cups cheddar or other favorite cheese

8-10 strips of thick bacon, cooked

3 tablespoons butter

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 Tablespoon poppy seeds

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400°F and butter the bottom and sides of a 9x13" pan. In a large bowl, smash 2 avocados until smooth(ish). Stir in the Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, cream cheese, and turkey meat until combined.

Use a bread knife to slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in the buttered baking dish and evenly spread the avocado-turkey mixture. Top with the bacon and cheese, then return the tops of the Hawaiian rolls onto the sliders. Melt the butter and drizzle it over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle on the poppy seeds and minced garlic and loosely cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Remove the aluminum foil and cook for an additional five minutes or until the rolls are toasted and golden brown. Serve with a garnish of cubed avocado and bacon pieces on a toothpick.
