Like most people who watched the Golden Globes, there were many deserved wins and stunning looks to be seen. With comedian Nikki Glaser hosting this year's awards and the venue overflowing with familiar faces, we're kicking off award show season with a bang!

If I were the Golden Globes committee, I would be extremely traumatized from the disaster that was Jo Koy hosting the Golden Globes last year, but Nikki Glaser came to the rescue this year. Not only was she funny, but she looked absolutely stunning while doing it. The jokes were just as offensive enough for everyone to have a laugh, but not too offensive to the point where an entire fanbase could end your career overnight.

My favorite moments of the night from Nikki included the iconic finger-hold after voicing her disappointment and fear about President Trump's upcoming term. This is referencing the viral video of Ariana Grande oddly holding Cynthia Erivo's finger with her two fingers in a pinch during the Wicked press run. Glaser stuck her finger out the audience, to which Ariana responded by pinching the air in reassurance.

Cynthia and Ariana then proceeded recreate the scene from the interview. Instant classic.

For one of Nikki's segments in the hosting portion of the awards ceremony, she continues the Wicked references with a Conclave-themed “Popular” rendition, or “Pope-ular” as she calls it. She pairs her pink gown with a Pope hat and Glinda's iconic wand. Peak entertainment, I must say.

Zoe Saldaña's Tear-Jerking Speech

Perhaps I have to go watch Emilia Pérez now, because Zoe Saldaña's first speech almost activated the waterworks. You can really tell that she connects with her character, the film, and her cast members. Emilia Pérez took home several awards home, so I'm sure that the film is incredible.

Zendaya, period.

As soon as mother herself debuted her look on the red carpet, I immediately knew her look was going to flood my Instagram feed for the rest of the night. The auburn satin dress with her stunning bob, along with the gorgeous rocks on her neck makes this one of my favorite Zendaya looks.

Let's talk about a different rock on Zendaya, though. Several photographs show a ring on Zendaya's hand, raising high speculation on whether Tom Holland put a ring on it recently. She also seems to have a tattoo of a lowercase “t” (for Tom, mostly likely) just under her armpit. The engagement suspicions are only growing as I'm writing this, so I'm declaring this as one of my very selective 2025 pop culture predictions.

Honorable Mention to the Tornado Warning

The weather in my state was not being a girl's girl on Golden Globes night. Even though there was a tornado warning on, keep in mind, the complete opposite side of my state, I was granted with having zero sound audio to the Golden Globes, my TV defaulting to the weatherman's audio for a good 30 minutes. I was a hair away from buying a Paramount subscription for the night, but I succumbed to my overwhelming fear of not cancelling my trial on time before it charged me an inexcusable about of money.

2025 Awards Season

With so much occurring in 2024, the 2025 awards season is going to be jammed pack and I am so, so ready for it. Just consider me booked through March, at this point. How did you like the Golden Globes? Which upcoming awards show are you excited about the most?
