Childhood and Family Dynamics

Hailing from the vibrant city of Boston, Massachusetts, Indi's passion for the performing arts ignited at the tender age of three. She honed her skills in various dance styles, including tap, ballet, hip-hop, and jazz-funk. Fuelled by a relentless desire to pursue her dreams in the entertainment industry, Indi made the bold move to Los Angeles at just eight years old. There, she found herself at Gray Studios, a renowned drama school, where she continued to nurture her talents.

Young stars, such as Indi Star, often face unique challenges and pressures as they navigate the entertainment industry at a young age. In this high-pressure environment, a strong support system becomes paramount. Having a reliable network of family, friends, mentors, and professionals who understand the industry's demands and can provide emotional support, guidance, and protection is crucial.

A solid support system helps young stars maintain a healthy work-life balance, cope with stress, and make informed decisions. It creates a nurturing environment that allows them to grow and thrive, ensuring their well-being and long-term personal and professional success.

When we asked Indi about her team of cheerleaders she affectionately stated, "I always know that I have an amazing family that supports me no matter what. I'm really thankful to have such an amazing family, and we are all super-close. I feel like I grew up doing what I actually truly love. I know that I have a lot of people I can depend on. My parents always help me with whatever I need, so I love them for my support system."

Since then, she has grown from strength to strength, captivating audiences with her exceptional performances and infectious charisma.

Her versatile acting abilities have landed her various notable roles in both television and film. In the Brat series Charmers, Indi captivates audiences with her portrayal of the regular character Paris. In awe of her talent, we just had to know how her transition into acting came about! "I'm always comfortable in front of the camera for acting and I think it's because I've grown up being an actress. I just love doing that [acting]."

Beyond the small and big screen, Indi has showcased her talent as a dancer in the Netflix series Dead to Me, which she explained was a huge move for her. "I just love dancing! I would always do the Nutcracker in my hometown, Massachusetts. I would do competitions.

When I moved out here, I auditioned for this dance company, and that's where I met most of my friends. I haven't competitively danced in a while and that's because I don't like competitiveness. I like dancing, just to dance. I have been trying to get back into it."

These are two aspects she certainly ticks off in her new single 'Hurt A Little'. This track is written from the perspective of someone who's going through this immense heartache, be it friend, family, or relationship related. It's an incredible track and Indi is more than eager to share it with the world.

"I feel like everybody can relate to it in some way or another, honestly, because everybody has gone through this at some point. I know I have!"

The high-pressure nature of the entertainment industry can lead to overwhelming stress and negatively impact the mental health of the individuals involved. The constant need to meet expectations, navigate scrutiny, and maintain a demanding schedule often takes a toll on their emotional well-being. It is crucial to prioritize mental health and create a supportive environment that acknowledges the challenges faced by those in the industry, ensuring their overall well-being and reminding everyone of the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need.

We asked Indi how she manages to keep her head above water and look absolutely fabulous while doing so and she replied: "I go through times where I struggle with that and I feel like I've grown up with it. It's not natural, obviously, and I struggle a lot with trying also to grow up as a kid, you know. Just trying to have that social ability to have friends and stuff whilst working. However, social media have helped me, you know, meet new influencers who are my age and we're all going through the same thing and it just helps to know there are so many other people."

Dream Big, Inspire Bigger

With over 1M followers on Instagram and Tiktok, 445K on YouTube, and thousands of listeners on Spotify, Indi Star has established a community of individuals that respect her and her craft. She has a platform to speak up for the voiceless, inspire the youth, and spark a flame in aspiring young talents. Whilst others would let the fame get to them, the model has remained grounded and humble, with some assistance from her brother.

"It's so crazy! I'll be at the mall with my brother and someone will come up and ask for a photo or just talk to me. My brother talks to me about it all the time and he says 'That's so weird. Why does anyone want to say hi to you?' Gotta love siblings."

"If I recommend something, people will actually go out and buy it, which is crazy. Growing up, I never knew that could be a possibility for me and it's really cool to think that I get to connect with so many people around the world."

As Indi Star continues to astound audiences with her multifaceted talents, it is no wonder that she has become a true icon in the making. However, she's only getting started!

"I'm working on a bunch of new fashion content, which I'm excited about! I have been getting back into acting and I have a new podcast coming out with my best friend."
