In today's article, I will be talking about the perfect summer reset and the myth of the "hot girl summer aesthetic." We have all heard someone say something like, "I'm ready for my hot girl summer." Well, I will be exposing that myth because it's not real.

It's fake! It's a lie! I'm sorry if this is your first time hearing this, but it's false!
There is no such thing as a hot girl summer or the perfect summer reset. I know from experience. Last year, I said that I was going to have a "hot girl" summer. I would glow up and look fine as heck. But it's a lie—something I found out real quick. People use this excuse to break up with their boyfriends, go out and party, and do whatever. But babes, it's not even worth it. They use this excuse as an excuse to do whatever they please. They say this to make it seem like they are worth something more than the other. Which is completely false! Everyone has value!
That summer, I did nothing but watch TV and read books. Everyone says that they are going to have fun and be with their girls, but they just say that so they can explore their options with guys or go home and do nothing. And this is mostly because they don't put in the effort.
This is also a problem because you're basically rigging yourself. When you say you're going to have your hot girl summer and glow up and do this and that, you're jinxing it.

The Myth of the Perfect Summer Reset:
Okay, so this is also fake. No reset is ever "perfect"; it's actually very messy. We say it's perfect as an aesthetic, not for reality.
They're lying to themselves when they say this. Now, don't get me wrong, people could take a summer and actually have their "hot girl" summer and glow up and look stunning; I'm not saying it can't happen. But 9 times out of 10. It's a lie. It doesn't happen perfectly but rather naturally.
When summer hits, everyone starts growing and bettering themselves naturally! It doesn't happen overnight, and it doesn't just happen out of nowhere. It happens naturally!
So next time you say, "I'ma have my hot girl summer," don't. Because that's a fake lie that everyone says repeatedly.

If you've ever experienced this lie, I pray that you glow up and change yourself for the better! I don't mean to put others down in any way possible. This is just how I see this topic!
I'd love to know your take on this! Let me know.
