The group consists of 4 members, each currently with over 50 million followers on Instagram. In fact, Blackpink was credited by South Korea's President for spreading K-pop content across the globe and acknowledged it as a "global K-pop phenomenon". Jisoo / Kim Jisoo
Born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up there, Jisoo is the oldest (born in 1995) among the four members. She is the lead singer as well as the visual of the group. Despite being the only member who is not a fluent English speaker, she speaks Korean, Japanese, and some Chinese as well.
She is also active as an actress, with her new k-drama Snowdrop releasing on December 18th, 2021. Furthermore, Jisoo is also selected as the ambassador for Dior 's cosmetic brand "Dior Beauty".
Jennie/ Jennie Kim
Jennie was born in South Korea in January, 1996, but moved to New Zealand at the age of 8 until her return to South Korea in 2010. She was the first to be revealed among all four members through introductory videos. She is the main rapper, lead dancer and lead singer in Blackpink, as well as the first soloist who released her single "Solo" in 2018. She is also the ambassador of Chanel in Korea and has participated in various fashion events such as the Paris Fashion week.
Rosé / Roseanne Park (Park Chae-young)
Roseanne Park, known as her stage name Rosé, was born in New Zealand and grew up in Australia. She is the main singer of the group, and in fact, one of the top female singers in the K-POP industry. She is the most fluent English speaker (with a cute Australian accent) among all four, therefore usually speaks for the group in English interview shows.
In March 2021, she became the second member to release her solo: the "On the Ground" album that featured two songs. As the global ambassador of Yves Saint Laurent and the global ambassador of Tiffany & Co, Rosé is the first KPOP idol to attend the Met Gala ever.
Lisa / Lalisa Manobal
Lisa, real name Lalisa Manobal, is a Thai singer, dancer and rapper, and the youngest member of BLACKPINK. As the main dancer, she is usually titled as one of the top female dancers in the industry. She is multilingual, speaking fluent English, Thai, Korean and she is also learning Japanese and Chinese.
In September 2021, Lisa released her solo single "Lalisa", becoming the most-viewed music video in the first 24 hours by a solo artist on YouTube. Fashion wise, Lisa was selected as the global ambassador for Celine, and brand ambassador for Bulgari.

In 2016, Blackpink debuted with their first single album that consists of "Whistle" and "Boombayah", achieving over ten million views within five days of its release. From then on, Blackpink continued their career with several successful comebacks, such as "Playing With Fire"(2016), "As If It’s Your Last"(2017) and "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du"(2018).
In fact, "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du"'s music video is currently the most-viewed video by a Korean group on YouTube. Their 2019 and 2020 comebacks "Kill this Love" and "How you Like that" broke two Guinness World Records with the most viewed video within the first 24 hours of release.
In 2018, they collaborated with singer Dua Lipa on the single "Kiss and Make Up "; and in 2020, they collaborated with singers Selena Gomez on "Ice Cream ", Lady Gaga on "Sour Candy", and Cardi B on "Bet you wanna ".
Currently, the group has 5 music videos that have over 1 billion views on YouTube.

Shows & Tours
Shows: Blackpink's first group reality show was "Blackpink House", released in 2018. The show has 12 episodes, each recording Blackpink members' everyday life and activities in a pink-themed dorm house. In 2020, the group releases another show named "24/365 with Blackpink", consisting of another 16 episodes of what Blackpink members are doing in 2020. They also attended popular Korean group shows "Weekly Idol" and "Knowing Bros" several times together.
Concerts: Blackpink has completed one Asia tour and one world tour: "Blackpink Arena Tour 2018" and "In Your Area Tour". In 2021, because of coronavirus policies, Blackpink held their first online concert, "The Show" on YouTube. Notably, in 2019, Blackpink performed in Coachella on the festival's 20th anniversary.
