Stray Kids is coming back in August with a new album titled ‘KARMA’, and here’s everything that we know so far about this highly anticipated drop.

First and foremost, the release date to mark your calendars for is August 22nd, 2025 at 1 PM KST. To provide some basic context, 'KARMA' is Stray Kids' 4th full Korean-language studio album and their first full album in over two years after 5-STAR in June 2023.

This marks their first official Korean comeback of 2025, subsequent to mini-albums like ATE and HOP.

Timeline & Teasers

The group released a dramatic, flashy comeback trailer on July 25th (linked below) which has already garnered millions of views. On the same day at midnight KST a full comeback timetable dropped on official SNS channels. The timetable teaser revealed a structured content rollout in August, featuring additional trailers, tracklist reveals, and album previews, promotional images and visuals, etc. Some highlights of the timetable included the release of music video teaser 1 on August 15th, the release of the second MV teaser on August 19th, and countless videos and images in between.

Concept As We Know It So Far

The initial cinematic trailer launches viewers into a futuristic, dystopian “KARMA SPORTS” universe set in the year 2081. Each Stray Kids member is depicted as a champion from the years leading up to 2080, with each determined to win again, competing in a global festival styled similarly to likes of the Olympics of World Cup. A “KARMA coin” is utilized as a symbolic tool throughout the trailer, implicating themes of fate, competition, and consequences.

Aesthetically, the trailer is a bold fusion of futuristic dystopia, high-tech sports culture, and cinematic storytelling. It is visually set in a moody, metallic cityscape that feels reminiscent of a cyberpunk-inspired, futuristic world. The world is sleek but shadowed, with chrome textures, neon lighting, and advanced technology.

The Significance Of This Comeback

‘KARMA’ is following up Stray Kids’ world tour dominATE, which included 54 shows across 34 cities, 38 of which were stadium shows—one of the most ambitious and defining moments of their extremely successful career so far.
