On the afternoon of August 26th, 2025, iconic singer Taylor Swift and famous NFL Chiefs player announced that they have been engaged after two years in a relationship, a 2024 Super Bowl win, and one worldwide tour.

On the official Instagram accounts of Swift (taylorswift) and Kelce (killatrav), they posted five photos of themselves hugging, Kelce on the knee, and the ring itself. The photos come with the caption “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” The post garnered 10-14 million likes in its first hour and was posted with the song ‘So High School’ that was made by the artist herself. The announcement comes 13 days after Swift announced the arrival of her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” on October 3rd.

It is currently unclear when they will be married, but I highly recommend following their Instagram accounts to be notified of their wedding (and to see Swift in a cutesy wedding dress).

Because of the albums Fearless, 1989, Folklore, and Midnights, she currently holds the record for the most Album of the Year Grammy wins by just four.

Her recent tour, The Eras Tour, was the highest-grossing concert tour of all time, with over $2 billion in revenue. Travis Kelce is the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. He is also in the Football Hall of Fame. His achievements as a professional football player include three Super Bowl wins, being a seven-time All-Pro, holding six 1,000-yard receiving seasons by a tight end, and receiving 1,416 yards in 2020, one of the best by a tight end in NFL history.

Kelce and Taylor Swift started dating in 2023, starting their romantic life after Kelce gave her a friendship bracelet during one of her Eras Tour shows. Swift attended one of his games in September 2023.
