Now, I know many of you might not have heard of Blueface, and if you have, then it's probably because of the 2018 hit "Thotiana." The same goes for Chrisean Rock (aka one of Blueface's many Baby mamas) unless you've been living under a rock and have not heard the new single by Lil Mabu and her called "MR. TAKE YA B**CH" that's been blowing up on TikTok. It's essentially a glorified diss track against Blueface.
However, most of you must not be strangers to the chaotic web that is Cardi B and Offset's tumultuous relationship. Cheating, scandals, lies, you name it. It was there. You might be wondering how these two couples are intertwined together. Turns out that Offset might have cheated with Chrisean Rock after Blueface revealed it in a list of Twitter rants or what I like to call "The Sassification of Blueface."
How it all started
Blueface has actually interacted with Cardi B before by collaborating with her on the "Thotiana" remix. Little did any of us know that he would be the one to call out her husband for sleeping with someone else. Blueface and Chrisean's relationship is a bit more…complicated.
It all began with Blue Girls Club, Blueface's reality show, where Rock caught everyone's eye for her affection toward the rapper in 2020. The drama escalated when she got into a scrap with Blueface's other baby mama, Jaidyn Alexis, resulting in a lost tooth. Winning Blueface's competition series got her signed to his label, but things went south fast.
In February 2022, Blueface accused Rock of stealing his car, leading to her arrest for drug possession. His manager, Wack 100, also added theft allegations. Their clashes weren't limited to just accusations.
They made headlines for altercations in bars, involving family, and even allegations of domestic violence, later retracted. In September 2022, Rock was arrested for allegedly punching Blueface, which she denied. In January 2023, Rock announced her pregnancy, which Blueface denied. It led to a new song release, and they even staged a wedding together in a music video. All of that is just for them to split up later on this year.
Cardi B and Offset's relationship is a little less hectic but still drama-filled and has a very long history. The two rappers first got together back in 2017 and seemed inseparable. Their romance moved quickly, with Offset proposing to Cardi B in October that same year, popping the question onstage during one of her concerts.
Their marriage followed suit in September 2017, kept under wraps until Offset publicly proposed again at a Philly concert a month later. However, things hit a rough patch when rumors of Offset's infidelity surfaced, creating rifts in their relationship. Despite these challenges, Cardi B stood by Offset, defending their bond. They even welcomed their first daughter, Kulture. Cardi B could only take so much until late 2018, when she announced their split, citing trust issues. But these two couldn't stay apart for long.
They eventually confirmed their reunion and were seen together frequently. Over time, Cardi and Offset seemed to rebuild trust, often displaying their affection on social media and at public events. Until 2020, when Cardi filed for divorce from Offset, stating, "I just got tired of f—ing arguing.
I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye. When you feel like it's just not the same anymore, before you actually get cheated on, I'd rather just leave." They later worked it out again, and Cardi B withdrew the divorce papers, citing their reconciliation. Fast forward to 2023, and the couple is still going strong until they aren't anymore.
The Connection
On December 10, Blueface went on Twitter, putting out a series of now-deleted tweets claiming that Chrisean got with Offset. Blueface said, "FINALLY. Being tatted ona h*e is not a flex you literally f**ked cardi B husband couple weeks ago I'm tired of n***as looking at me while they f**king you get the rest of em gone asap please." Chrisean responded, "U just crashing out making up s**t." Then Blueface dropped the alleged dates and time this occurred, firing back with, "So you ain't f**k cardi husband November 10th at 4am at their house in LA… I'm making this up?"
Obviously, given the history of Offset's infidelity and his rocky relationship with Cardi B, he had to respond quickly by saying, "I ain't never talk or touch that lady. Real talk man you need some help." Blueface clapped back, claiming, "If the truth tears you down you living a shameful life and I feel bad for you cuz I ain't never gone lie on my d**k if I hit it ima admit it on SY." Meanwhile, Chrisean came out with some allegations of her own against Blueface, writing, "Let's talk about how I saw Gay p**n in your recent search history that's why I honestly got the cover up bro I had zesty n***a on my neck nothing wrong with being bisexual just let a bi**h no before she fall inlove weirdo." It also has just recently been confirmed that Chrisean and Offset were at the same party the same night that Blueface claimed Chrisean was with Offset.
Fallout
Now, remember how I initially refered to Offset as Cardi B's husband? Turns out that's not true anymore now that Cardi B confirms she's "been single for a minute" on Instagram live. The Grammy-winning rapper expressed her difficulty in sharing the news with her fans, admitting, “I just don't know how to tell the world.”
Addressing her desire for a fresh start, she mentioned, "I wanna start 2024, like, fresh, open." Cardi seemed eager for new beginnings and added, "I'm curious for a new life, for a new beginning. And yeah, I'm excited."
The confirmation came after fans noticed that Cardi and Offset unfollowed each other on social media. Earlier, Cardi had posted somewhat cryptic messages on her Instagram Stories, talking about outgrowing relationships and prioritizing herself. She wrote, "You know when you just outgrow relationships," followed by, "I'm tired of protecting people's feelings...I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST!"
This may not have been the first time this couple has experienced its ups and downs, but it seems like this break-up is more definitive. Either way, Blueface definitely made waves with his tweets and has upsetmanypeople. In the soap opera that is the hip-hop world, the true question is whether this is the end of the drama between Blueface and all these other rappers. In my honest opinion, probably not.
