Big Time Rush Has Left Us 'Paralyzed' 'All Over Again' with This Reunion Tour

Big Time Rush, an American musical comedy television series that originally aired on Nickelodeon from November 28, 2009, until July 25, 2013, was my whole childhood, and I am not lying when I say that I knew all of their songs by heart. The show focused on James Diamond, Kendall Knight, Carlos Garcia, and Logan Mitchell who were selected to form a boy band.

Eight years later, the group has finally announced a brand-new reunion tour. And we totally deserve this after the crazy year we had.

What happened to BTR?

As the show wrapped up in 2013, Rushers (BTR fans) were very much concerned about the future of the boyband. No one was ready to say goodbyes to their all-time favorite childhood show. However, they did their final concert tour, Live World Tour, in 2014. When they went on hiatus, they then said that they may or may not come back as they were ready to be their own individual artist outside the band.

In the meantime, Kendall returned to his band Heffron Drive, which he'd started before BTR. Carlos released a single, returned to acting, and started a family. And James and Logan both released solo albums.

Their Mini Virtual Reunion

On 20th April 2020, James, Logan, Kendall, and Carlos reunited virtually, saving our quarantine. They had a little, heartwarming message for their fans. Rushers all around the world felt nostalgic seeing the boys together, even if it was a mini online reunion.

The Show Finally Came To Netflix

For years, BTR fans have been calling for Netflix to add the show to its line-up. Indeed, during the month of March this year, the show, as well as The Big Time Movie, finally came to Netflix. Fans can now binge-watch all 4 seasons. However, it's available only in the US.

'The Comeback Tour' Details

We were all wondering why the members changed their profile picture across their social media to a red dot but little did we know that they had a special surprise for fans.

On July 19th, Big Time Rush released a video announcing that they're going on their first tour as a band since 2014. They captioned the video: “WE ARE BACK! It’s been a minute, but we couldn’t be more excited to see you! Let's make up for lost time.”

They then revealed that the tour will be starting with two dates:

The voiceover in the video seems to get it right; The world does need Big Time Rush!
