A Starbucks Special: Reviewing All of This Year's Seasonal Drinks

Is Starbucks considered Starbucks if it doesn't have seasonal drinks? With the leaves falling off trees and snow drifting to the ground, a nice drink is needed. I spent a week trying all the seasonal drinks available in the 2021 winter season, and here are my rankings for them!

Disclaimer: Only drinks tried were those available in the U.S

6. Irish Cream Cold Brew

Coming in hot at #6 is the Irish Cream Cold Brew. It may just be me, but typically it's around 35° whenever I go to Starbucks, so a cold brew was just not in the cards for the top 5 on this list. However, this drink does have a sweet, almost velvet-like texture to it. If you like cold brews, or it's somehow over 35° where you are, this is a great option!

5. Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte

Much like the Irish Cream Cold Brew, this drink is iced. So, it is lower on the list for holiday drinks this year. Despite this though, the Blonde Espresso Roast matches very well with the sugar cookie syrup and almond milk, which is why it is ranked higher than the cold brew.

4. Chestnut Praline Latte

While incorporating traditional French ingredients, the Chestnut Praline Latte has a nice, clean aftertaste. Unfortunately, most of the pralines stuck to the bottom of my cup, and I could not taste them. The latte has a strong dark caramel taste that is sure to make you want more, though.

3. Caramel Brulee Latte

The Caramel Brulee Latte has a semi-sweet taste compared to the other drinks on this list, which is why I ranked it at #3. I enjoy super sweet drinks, and this just did not hit that mark for me. However, if you're looking for a buttery, dessert-like latte, this is the drink for you.

2. Starbucks Toasted White Chocolate Mocha

The Toasted White Chocolate Mocha includes cranberry sugar, espresso, whipped cream, and caramelized white chocolate. This drink is the perfect amount of sweetness for those late afternoons when you need a pick-me-up. While drinking it, you feel as though you're curled up reading a good book under a fuzzy blanket, right next to a firepit.

1. Peppermint Mocha

Taking first place for best holiday drink at Starbucks, the Peppermint Mocha creates the perfect balance of peppermint syrup and mocha sauce. This drink balances the sweet and chocolatey taste extraordinarily well and makes you feel like you're at home relaxing instead of going to school or work.

These six drinks are only available for a limited time, so best get them while you still can. Coffee in the morning makes work a little more bearable! (Or if you're like me, it makes the whole day a lot better)
