As we all know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it keeps your metabolism up and helps you burn calories throughout the day. Back in the 1960 nutritionist Adelle Davis famously said, “Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper”. If breakfast wasn't that important, she wouldn't even bother to say that, would she? Now that we know that breakfast is very important, let's jump right into 5 healthy and simple breakfast ideas that will help you to start your day right.

1. Classy Pancakes

As the name implies, this is everyone's favourite breakfast, pancakes! I mean, who doesn't like pancakes? For this, we need one medium sized banana, about a third of a cup of rolled oats and two eggs and a blender just mix them all nicely.

I like to put my pan on the stove at medium to high heat and after it gets hot, I keep it at medium temperature and like to grease it with oil so that it does not stick to the pan. I do like a tablespoon of batter per pancake and after it's ready, I serve it with nut butter(unsweetened) and some fruits of my choice.

2. Tasty Quinoa Porridge

It's really easy to make, I mean, it is easier to make than it looks like. For quinoa porridge, we will need a quarter of a cup of dry quinoa and have to wash it under running water and after that add one cup of milk and boil for 10 to 15 mins and also have to stir it while it is boiling. If you need more milk, go on and add some.

After that, I like to add half of a medium sized banana for sweetness and obviously you have to smash it. Also some coconut oil and milk, if you would like to, but it is best if you add those because the coconut oil gives the creamy texture and not to mention, extra proteins and good fats and calories because you are not only adding coconut oil but also milk, so that is a good option.

I like to add half a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of cinnamon but that is totally a personal preference. Then add a teaspoon of natural sweetener like maple syrup or honey or you just add the half-used banana or full banana and less sweetener and last, serve it with some it with some fresh strawberry slices and raw almonds.

3. The Chilli Avocodo Toast

I know that it is a very basic breakfast, but it is easy, quick and healthy apart from being just basic. So, I always use and make sure to eat Whole Grain Rye bread because it is healthy. So first I toast them and for the avocados, I slice them into half and one half into another two halves and just smash and spread them all over the bread or you can just smash the avocado slices on the bread using a fork since avocado is soft.

Then use dried chilli flakes as much as you want. Also for more flavors, add some sea salt and black pepper. Sometimes a little bit of cherry tomatoes and lemon juice never hurts.

Also adding some baby spinaches to your chilli avocado toast is a great way to sneak some greens into your breakfast. There you have it - some chilli avocado toast.

4. Yoghurt with Fruits and Nuts

This is very easy and it can be made within 5 mins. For this breakfast, I like it because it can be made within 5 mins. For this breakfast, I like to use coconut yoghurt but you can use any yoghurt that you would like to use or maybe greek yoghurt because it has more protein than regular yoghurt, so that is a good option.

I like having this with strawberries and blueberries. I use nut mix rather than using only one kind but this nut mix has seeds in it like pumpkin. There you have it, a tasty and quick and healthy breakfast ready within 5 mins.

5. OVERNIGHT OATS (CRANBERRY-APPLE FLAVOURED)

This is really easy to make. For this, I use ½ a cup of rolled oats or any oats that you would like to use and then mix 2 teaspoon of chia seeds and ½ a cup of milk or you can also use water. Then I also add some raw almonds and some cranberries. Keep it in the fridge overnight and then serve it with some fresh apple slices, which gives the apple-cranberry flavor.

There you have it, 5 quick, simple and healthy breakfast ideas to start your day better than any other days. It's never too early or late to think about taking care of yourself and start taking care of yourself! But that doesn't mean that you have to suddenly change your routine or the habit of eating “ More junk foods, less healthier foods”.

What I mean is, it DOESN'T have to be a DRASTIC change, you know what I mean? DON'T PRESSURE YOURSELF!. Take time, make SMALL steps, make those small steps CONSTANT, make those small steps bigger, push yourself little by little out of your comfort zone. Always put your best foot forward.
