I know a lot about this topic because of my brother. He is allergic to dairy—not lactose, but dairy. Throughout this journey, we have tested so many kinds of milk to see which one tastes the absolute best while having health benefits.
Some dairy milk substitutes have extreme amounts of sugar, which then make the milk unhealthy. So you really have to be careful. That’s why I am here—to help you find the perfect milk for you. I’ve tried them all. If my brother didn’t like them, I was like the garbage disposal. I tried every single one. I know what I’m talking about.
Even if you don’t have a clinically diagnosed allergy, this article could help you live your best life. You could be irritable to milk or have adverse reactions to it. There are studies that show that milk can cause acne or worsen eczema. There is a more recent trend that claims that cow milk can be linked to ovarian cancer due to the sugars in cow milk.

Planet Oat Milk
Their milk is both dairy- and soy-, peanut-, and gluten-free. They don’t have lactose, artificial flavorings, or preservatives. Their milk is quite filling on its own.
Imagine what happens when you add it to your smoothie, morning shake, or coffee. You’ll be full for a long time. If you aren’t a fan of their plain milk, they have other flavors that might spike your interest. They have Barista Lovers milk, which blends and whitens as regular milk does in coffee and tea. They also have a dark chocolate flavor that really packs a punch. It’s both filling and tastes like a sweet treat without being too unhealthy. They also have extra-creamy milk, both sweetened and unsweetened. It can’t get better than that. But it does! They have vanilla-flavored milk that tastes similar to a vanilla milkshake. I prefer this flavor over the others. Don’t take my word for it, try it out and see if this milk is for you.
Almond Breeze Milk
As you can probably guess, this next milk is specifically made with almonds. Almond Breeze has everything you could want and more. They have blended milk with bananas and oats.
They have a new almond-coconut blend coming as well. These blends trick you into thinking you are having a sweet milkshake treat. When, in reality, you’re having a dairy-free alternative to milk. They also have some of the classics. Like vanilla and chocolate-flavored milk. They even have extra creamy almond milk for those of you who prefer that type of milk to drink, to use in baking, or with your coffee. I personally love their milk; it has the perfect amount of everything, and it doesn’t feel like you are consuming almond milk. It feels like you’re consuming actual dairy milk. This brand of milk specifically has 50% more calcium than regular milk does. Their milk has no lactose, no preservatives, no artificial flavoring, and it is vegan. Most importantly, I can read the ingredients on the back. I know what they mean, and I know what they do for me health-wise. They aren’t hiding anything with this perfectly amazing milk.

Chobani Oatmilk
The next type of dairy milk alternative I would like to talk about is chobani. They have five different variations of oatmilk: extra creamy, original, zero sugar/unsweetened, vanilla, and even pumpkin spice. All of their milks are made with oats and are vegan.
Which also means they are dairy-free. If you have a nut allergy, this milk is perfect because it is nut-free. Each cartoon has about 6 servings, and they don’t have a weird aftertaste like many dairy-free milks do. I think this milk is an investment in your health and your overall pleasure. One glass with a banana or a fruit will keep you full a lot longer than cow's milk will. I think you should at least consider drinking this brand of milk. It really can only help you health-wise.

Silk Milk
This brand of milk has many variations. They pride themselves on making plant-based beverages, and they have succeeded. They have almond milk, cashew milk, coconut milk, and soy milk.
Most companies just have one or the other. This company is a bit special. Aside from having every type of milk besides cow milk, they have every flavor. From protein milk, chocolate, vanilla, extra vanilla, soy, almond, oat, a combo of almond and coconut, and unsweetened and organic options for all of these flavor choices, Here is the amazing part: they don’t just have milk. They have coffee, yogurt, and heavy whipping alternatives. They have everything you need. Especially if you can’t have dairy anymore. This company has everything you could think of to make your journey smoother. This is the type of milk everyone will enjoy. You just have to play around with what works and what you like in milk. This milk might be a little expensive, along with the creamer and yogurt, but it is so worth it to have something you can drink daily and say you enjoy. The goal is to get you to love milk other than cow milk.
Before You Go:
These are only some of the milks out there. These are the milks that I’ve tried and enjoyed, and they are also some of the most popular ones. It’s important to love what you drink, and I hope this article will help you find a dairy alternative that you’ll drink forever. Cow milk is your first love, and soon you will find milk that fits you more than cow milk did before.
