When you are tired of ordering the same meal from your favorite restaurant, switching it up by ordering items from a secret menu is a great option. 1. McDonald's Apple Pie McFlurry

If you're not quite in the mood for a McFlurry, but still want a delicious dessert, give McDonald's Apple Pie McFlurry a try. The Apple Pie McFlurry is one of the most well-known secret menu items of McDonald's. To order the Apple Pie McFlurry, order a plain McFlurry with hot caramel.

Though In-N-Out has not done the best job of keeping their animal fries a secret, customers love these fries. Once you order animal fries, you won't go back to ordering In-N-Out's regular fries. Animal fries consist of fries topped off with melted cheese, caramelized onion, and, of course, In-N-Out's famous spread. Some customers even ask for the restaurant's "roadkill" fries, which are fairly similar to In-N-Out's animal fries, except for the addition of a crumbled hamburger on top.

You may have already tried one of Chick-fil-A's frosted drinks listed on their menu, such as their frosted lemonade and frosted coffee. Yet, most customers are unaware that they can ask for any soft drink to be frosted. With a taste similar to a root beer float, a frosted Dr.

Pepper from Chick-fil-a will surprise you with its mouthwatering taste. It is important to note that some Chick-fil-A restaurants do not allow customers to order any frosted soda of their choice. However, in this case, simply order your favorite soda and Chick-fil-A's ice cream cone.

Most customers can agree that Starbucks' refreshers are hardly ever disappointing. But, even the refreshers on their secret menu are impressive. The key lime pie refresher is my new go-to order. In order to order the key lime pie refresher, ask for a Kiwi Starfruit Refresher, a drink already on their menu, with light coconut milk and one pump of funnel cake syrup.

8. Chipotle's Quesarito

Chipotle's quesarito is similar to a burrito, but instead of being wrapped with a regular tortilla, a cheese quesadilla is substituted as the shell. Unquestionably, Chipotle's quesarito is a secret menu that is worth trying. It will make for a satisfying meal, and serve as a break from your regular burrito or bowl order from Chipotle.

9. Dairy Queen's Frozen Hot Chocolate

Consisting of cocoa fudge and Dairy Queen's classic vanilla soft serve, their frozen hot chocolate is a rich and creamy treat. The frozen hot chocolate is usually topped off with some whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle. But, Dairy Queen's frozen hot chocolate is no longer a secret item, though it started off as one. The frozen hot chocolate has been added to Dairy Queen's menu, as a result of its popularity on the secret menu.

10. Sonic's Pickle-Os

If fries don't sound appealing to have with your meal, try Sonic's Pickle-Os. These fried pickles are perfect for when you are craving something salty to snack on.

Trying secret menu items is always a fun experiment. Though some items will disappoint you, others will immediately become your new favorites.
