In a world where K-pop continues to redefine the international music market, a fresh wave of energy and talent has arrived. Meet ALLDAY PROJECT, the newest co-ed group poised to captivate fans around the clock. The group debuted just two months ago on June 23, 2025, under The Black Label, a South Korean record label and associate company of YG Entertainment.
Now you might be thinking: it's just another group, what makes them so special? What separates them from other debut groups is that they're co-ed. That's not something you see every day. Having a mixed gender group has always been a rarity in the K-pop industry.

ALLDAY PROJECT is not the first group to debut with the co-ed concept. There are many well-known groups with the same idea, such as KARD, Coed School, and AKMU, among others. What makes ALLDAY PROJECT different from these groups is that this is the first big co-ed debut we've seen in a while. So far, it seems that the K-pop industry is constantly releasing new boy bands and girl groups, but ALLDAY PROJECT can bring some new variety to an already saturated industry market.

Discography and Music
So far, ALLDAY PROJECT has released just one single album, FAMOUS, featuring tracks: the title "Famous" and "Wicked." Both songs deliver an energetic, pop-inspired dance vibe that aligns well with K-pop trends. While the production is polished and the melodies are engaging, the release doesn't offer much innovation or distinctiveness within the genre. That said, it's still early in their career, and there's ample room for growth. With time and artistic development, the group has the potential to carve out a more unique identity and bring something fresh to the music landscape.

Potential Controversy
While researching the ALLDAY PROJECT, when word first got out about their debut, many were quick to storm the internet with their opinions about the members.
One of these controversies surrounds member Tarzzan, who has been criticized for alleged cultural appropriation. Pictures posted to his Instagram account show the rapper wearing various types of braids. Many netizens took to the Internet to voice their opinions about the rapper's appearance, eventually calling out alleged cultural appropriation.
Another one of these controversies also revolved around Annie, one of the other rappers of the group. But her controversy stems from something different. It has to do with her family background.
Annie was previously a member of MEOVV and the granddaughter of the Shinsegae chairwoman and great-granddaughter of Samsung's founder, meaning she comes from one of the richest families in Korea. Many believe she was only included in the group due to her status and privilege.
The last big controversy surrounding the group involves Tarzzan again. Many netizens are calling for the removal of the rapper after digging through his past social media history over his alleged support of a convicted felon. In 2023, it was reported that Canadian rapper, Tony Lanez, was convicted of three felony charges against Grammy-winning rapper, Megan Thee Stallion.

Closing Thoughts
ALLDAY PROJECT, in its current form, doesn't evoke much excitement for me. While their existing tracks are undeniably catchy, they also come across as formulaic, lacking the distinctiveness needed to stand out in an increasingly saturated K-pop market. With new acts debuting constantly and music being released at a relentless pace, it's easy for groups to blur together.
Although I do appreciate the co-ed dynamic, ALLDAY PROJECT hasn't yet leveraged that concept in a way that feels musically or artistically compelling. Groups like KARD have long demonstrated how a co-ed structure can be meaningfully integrated into their sound and identity. Unless ALLDAY PROJECT evolves and deepens their musical catalog, I find it difficult to view them as more than another manufactured ensemble under YG Entertainment.
