This is because fermented foods are rich in probiotics, which can support us in many ways. Digestive health and immune function are two major factors that show improvement in people’s bodies when they start eating fermented foods.
These foods introduce beneficial bacteria into the gut, which can lead to improved digestion and a stronger immune system. Including fermented foods in your diet will lead to a more balanced and improved gut microbiome. My personal favorite fermented food is pickles, since they are delicious and easy to include in my diet!

Most people get scared of eating nuts and seeds since they are significantly high in fat. What most people don’t know is that the fats in them are healthy for us and can benefit us in several ways. Nuts and seeds, like almonds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds, and cashews, are high in protein, fiber, and healthy fats.
They are also packed with minerals that are crucial for everybody’s health. They are rich in antioxidants, which aid in protecting the body from damage. Not only do they aid in heart health and digestive health, but they also help with weight management. The way I like to eat them is by adding a mix of them to my yogurt bowls, which gives me the perfect balance of protein and healthy fats. Including nuts and seeds in your diet is a true game-changer.
3. Fatty Fish
Fatty fish are one of the healthiest foods that humans can eat since they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, specifically EPA and DHA, which are essential fats for reducing inflammation, decreasing the risk of heart disease, and lowering blood pressure. Additionally, they are packed with protein and vitamin D. Salmon, most people’s favorite fish, sardines, and tuna are three examples of fatty fish that you should start including in your diet.
They support brain health, heart health, and our immune system. They are delicious, therefore easy to eat, and make them a staple in your diet.

Not only do berries taste delicious, but they are also very versatile, since they offer unique combinations of flavors and nutrients. Blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries are the most common berries in people’s diets, and they show great results when it comes to heart health, cognitive function, and digestive health. They are high in antioxidants, such as flavonoids and anthocyanins, which help prevent damage due to free radicals.
They also contain vitamins C and K, and fiber. Fiber-rich foods are crucial for our digestive system, aid in regulating blood sugar levels, and can help with bloating, too. Including berries in my diet helps me feed my sweet tooth, and can help with my sweet cravings too!
5. Herbs and Spices
Last but not least, herbs and spices should be staples in everyone’s diet. They are much more than just flavor enhancers; they are filled with nutrients that have even been used for medicinal purposes for many centuries. Turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon are all great examples of them.
They are high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce inflammation in our bodies. They also support our digestive health, and most importantly, our immune system. Herbs and spices are easy to add to our diets because you can put them in your food and drinks. Incorporating these into your diet will add a layer of health-promoting components to your diet.
