The Ultimate Spring Bucket List: Activities to Make the Most of the Season

Activities

Mon, March 30

Spring arrived just a few days ago. It sets a new start for many people — even for nature. The sound of birds chirping, the soft, now warmer, wind lightly blowing, the warmer sunshine, and longer days.

I'm sure I am not the only one whose mood always brightens each spring. It always marks a sort of new chapter in my life, and I always try to find some adventure to make each spring a little bit more unique.

I like having my ideas organized, so I decided to make a bucket list and thought I would share it with the world.

Color Hunt

I'm pretty sure that if you've been on social media, you probably saw tons of people doing color hunts. When I first saw this activity, I brushed it off and scrolled away, but in the next few days, I saw more and more people participating with their friends and family. It was then that I realized how cute and adventurous these color hunts can turn out.

It's so simple, yet so exciting! All you need is something to note down what you saw. Whether you're going to take pictures, draw, or write it down that's completely up to you.

The next thing you have to decide is if you have a special route picked out, or if you're going to walk around the city with no specific route in mind. If you want company, you can ask your friends to tag along — in this scenario, everybody can choose a color, and at the end of the hunt, you can compare how easy or hard it was to find each color.

Sunset Walk

I'm pretty sure this is a well-known classic amongst many people. However, sometimes it's the simplest of activities that may bring us the most peace, and a walk during sunset may be one of them!

This is also one of the many activities you can do alone. Not much is required to do this; you quite literally only need to manage the time when you go and where you're going, some shoes, and the good vibes.

Walking in nature is really calming, so this might be a really nice activity for you to clear your head when you feel down. Deep talks during these walks also sound like a really vibey idea for you and your friends.

Picnic

This is another one of the classic spring activities, but you can definitely get creative with it! Since nature is waking up, you can find a pretty spot somewhere in a park or a flower field.

There are no limits to how creative the picnic can be. A decade themed one sounds like a nice way to explore different clothing styles or the snacks, food, and drinks which were popular back then. Mentioning colors once again, the idea of a picnic where each friend is assigned a color which they have to bring snacks of sounds so exciting. Just imagine it, you and your friends, aesthetic color-coded snacks and drinks, and tons of fun!

Bring friends and the vibes will somehow appear by themselves. Don't forget to be safe though!

Photoshoot

Let's be honest, who doesn't want some aesthetic photos for their Instagram. There's no better time to do a little photoshoot with your friends than spring. Nature is waking up, the sun is shining a little warmer, and trees and flowers are blooming.

No need for expensive equipment, you just need your creativity, someone to take the pictures, and something to take the photos.

Have fun with it, use the nature as a prop, be one with earth, express yourself, and be free! You get some cute photos and a bunch of new memories.

Spring-Related Hobbies

A new hobby is a great way to "change" who you are, it's a way to give your life a bit of diversity from the usual. To try something new is to learn to be patient with yourself, give yourself time to make mistakes. Just like nature is patient with its trees and flowers slowly waking up from their winter sleep, you can experience it through trying new hobbies!

Whether it's gardening, birdwatching, or flower pressing you choose to do, you simply can't go wrong with trying new things. Because, even if you don't succeed immediately, you at least have mistakes to learn from and new experiences to bond over in the future.

Gardening can be simple. Visit your local grocery shop, a gardening store, or a friendly neighbor who you know grows some sort of a garden. Buy or borrow seeds and watch your plants grow!

Birdwatching is an amazing way to spend time in nature. Just the sound of birds you will slowly be able to recognize, you, and some binoculars. Personally, this activity brings me a lot of peace. You can easily learn a bit more about your local wildlife like this.

With flower pressing you can get either really creative and make e.g. jewelry or some framed pieces, or you can simply just collect them in your personal herbary.

Spontaneous Trip

Fun weekends are in, boring study and stay at home ones are out! Don't plan too much. Hit your friends up, speak your mind on where you want to go and GO THERE.

A nearby city, a faraway one... the choice is yours. Use public transport if you can, it's easy, affordable, and it's better for the environment.

You can visit museums, art galleries, or go on a hike, explore the local nature. Remember, sometimes the best memories come from the most unexpected moments, and I think that a spontaneous trip could have tons of those.

Spring Clean

Finally, for those rainy or windy days when you just want to stay inside, a spring clean might be a pretty good way of passing the time and also having some use of it!

During spring, nature is giving itself a chance on a new start, and you might need it too. Giving the space you live in a nice deep clean can also help you get your mind off of other worries. A clean space gives you more opportunities to make it more "you."

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, don't be afraid to try new things. Give yourself space to explore while nature is waking up. And if you're still stuck on what to try, take the quiz accompanying this article. Enjoy spring in all its beauty!
