Taylor Swift's Eras Tour kicked off in March 2023 and has since undergone many changes, making the concert experience different especially for those attending the shows after the release of her new album, The Tortured Poets Department. I attended the concert in Stockholm in May 2024 and here is my experience, along with how it was different from the original concert and the film! You can read about the concert before these changes here.

Outfits
Taylor debuted some stunning new outfits as she kicked off the tour after a short hiatus during the promotion and release of her album: The Tortured Poets Department. Some of the most notable changes have been the addition of the orange Lover jumpsuit and blazer, a black and silver Fearless dress (Reputation TV Easter Egg?), dresses in new colors for folklore, evermore, and the surprise set, no more matching co-ord sets for 1989 and a new Midnights bodysuit. Fans now also have an entirely new TTPD set with four outfit variations in white, black, and gold.

Order of the Eras and Updated Set List
Taylor has switched around the order of some eras and removed some songs from the setlist to make space for the brand-new TTPD set. The songs that have been deleted are The Archer (Lover), 'tis the [censored] season and tolerate it (evermore), Long Live (Speak Now), the 1 and last great american dynasty (folklore).
She has also merged the folklore and evermore sets into one. The updated order of the eras is: Lover, Fearless, Red, Speak Now, reputation, folklore/evermore, 1989, The Tortured Poets Department, surprise songs, Midnights.

Taylor released her album, The Tortured Poets Department on April 19, 2024, and to our surprise, immediately included it in the setlist of her current tour. While the original album has 17 songs, she announced TTPD to be a double album and released 15 more songs, with all 31 songs now being known as The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.
She included six songs from the regular album in the Eras Tour Setlist. She has performed a few songs from this album as a part of the acoustic set including The Tortured Poets Department, Fresh Out The Slammer, How Did It End?, Guilty as Sin, Peter, The Alchemy, My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys and loml.
This era's performance has been named Female Rage: The Musical. With a short intro including clips from different songs on the album, she starts the set with But Daddy I Love Him in a stunning white dress resembling the dress she wore in the Fortnight music video featuring Post Malone. The dress has some writing, which many fans believe resembles the text on the cover of Reputation, seeing it as another Easter Egg for the release of reputation (Taylor's Version). She transitions into a verse of So High School replicating the setting of chatting on the bleachers in school with her dancers.

She goes into Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? which is where the female rage aspect of the set truly begins. This is followed by Down Bad and Fortnight, during which she does a little skit on a tilted white platform with one of her dancers. She then puts on a white jacket for The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, during which she also brings out a marching band for the bridge of the song. The set ends with a short skit during which she changes her outfit into a black, white, or gold bralette and matching shorts with an overcoat to perform I Can Do it With a Broken Heart.

My Experience
I attended night 3 of the concerts in Sweden. The biggest highlight of the concert was the acoustic set, where she paid tribute to Max Martin, a Swedish producer Taylor has worked with on her previous albums. The guitar performance was called the Max Martin Medley and included Message in a Bottle, How You Get The Girl, and New Romantics.
The piano song was How Did It End? from TTPD. Since the new changes were not a part of the Eras Tour film on Disney+, seeing the revamped concert and a brand new era performed live was a great surprise and a wonderful experience. Taylor's tradition of giving her 22 hat to a fan during the Red era was also a sweet moment to witness. The way the light bracelets given to audience members created patterns and changed according to the era was amazing to see.

Certain elements like the performance of illicit affairs, champagne problems, the high note in Don't Blame Me as well as the transition from Don't Blame Me to Look What You Made Me Do were just surreal to see in real life. As a fan of folklore and evermore, I was disappointed to see the songs cut from those eras. I would have also loved to see Long Live live because her entire band as well as her backup singers come together and she plays the iconic koi fish guitar.
The song is also a tribute to her fans. It was still amazing and the entire audience was on their feet for all 45 songs. Taylor is an extremely emotive, interactive, and energetic performer!
