What is Lovely Runner about?

“Lovely Runner” begins with Im Sol, who cannot walk and is destined to a lifetime in a wheelchair after a car accident in 2008 paralyzed her legs. When she wants to take her own life, she hears a voice on the radio from a rising K-pop star, Ryu Sun-Jae, who tells her that she should live another day. Ever since, Im Sol has been one of Ryu Sun-Jae's greatest fans and was devastated when Ryu Sun-Jae took his life in 2023.

When Im Sol is teleported back to 2008 before her accident and before Ryu Sun-Jae's death, she recognizes her chance to save herself as well as Ryu Sun-Jae. As the story progresses, the two leads fall in love. Comedy scenes appear in moments such as a one-sided romance between Im Sol's brother and her best friend Hyun-Ju and Kim Tae-Sung and Ryu Sun-Jae's competition for Im Sol's heart. The plot is a perfect blend of comedy and romance, as well as thrill in Im Sol's accident, which turns out to be perpetrated by an alleged serial killer.

Who are the cast of Lovely Runner?

Kim Hye-Yoon plays Im Sol, the main character of the drama. With her playful smile and youthful temperament, Kim Hye-Yoon is the perfect actress for the hilarious and innocent high school girl. Her over-the-top reactions to simple things will make you laugh or cry while watching her.

As the leads pull back and forth, with Sun-Jae refusing to recognize Im Sol, there is little we can do but hope that the ending does not appear to be as it seems. As Im Sol attempts to save Sun-Jae once again from his fate, a sad ending is prompted by the directors of the script, we wait in anticipation for May 28, 2024, when Episode 16 is released.
