1: The Act of Kindness

“ Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.” - Princess Diana

It's hard to argue that Princess Diana was extremely kind-hearted. She showed it right from the start with her love for Prince Charles, but it didn't stop there. She was all about her kids and the loads of charities, causes, and people she met.

She didn't mind giving hugs to the sick and weak. She even went out of her way to visit the homeless without making a big deal.

Even as a young mum, she looked out for her kids. It is amazing to see how she let them be themselves, especially as they grew up.

I don't think anyone can argue that Princess Diana loved everyone deeply. It was a natural and pure love. A lot of people think showing love is a sign of weakness but in reality, it's a sign of strength to love without expecting anything in return.

2: Not Your Face but Your Heart

“I don’t go by the rule book… I lead from the heart, not the head.” - Princess Diana

Today, a lot of people make quick judgements about others based on labels, headlines and social media posts. Princess Diana was different. She saw people for who they really are.

We're all unique, so it's important not to focus too much on our differences. Princess Diana showed her true self and that's what made her different. People could see bits of themselves in her, which is why she was the idol of so many.

As Diana says, being popular isn't about being rich or famous. Diana was popular right from the start because she was herself. The public connected with her because she understood them and was kind towards them.

3: The People's Princess

“HIV doesn't make people dangerous to know. So you can shake their hands and give them hugs. Heaven knows they need it.” - Princess Diana

Princess Diana was known as the “People's Princess”. She made a difference in the world through her work to help others and her efforts to stand up for what's right. A big part of what makes Diana stand out is her fight for people who often feel left out.

She was active in helping those with AIDS, at a time when the disease was looked down upon. By supporting AIDS patients, Diana broke stereotypes. Her famous trip to a hospital in 1987 shook the world when she hugged a man with AIDS.

She pushed tirelessly for a world without the stigma linked to AIDS. She became a supporter of the National AIDs Trust and made many speeches at their events. In 1993, she discussed how AIDS has affected mothers and children, breaking the false idea that it only affects the gay community. She said "For those mothers and children already living under the shadow of AIDS, we need to help them back into the light, to reassure them and support their needs. And maybe we will learn from them how to live our own lives more fully, for however long it may take."

4: Love and Family

“I want my boys to have an understanding of people's emotions, their insecurities, people's distress, and their hopes and dreams.” - Princess Diana

Diana was very dedicated to her kids, Prince William and Prince Harry. Right from the start she made sure their feelings were her top priority. Diana believed in showing love and talking openly, making sure her sons had plenty of chances to express themselves as well. This way of parenting was a big deal for the royal family as they generally kept things formal.

Diana's love for her kids showed in all the fun stuff she did with them. She took them to amusement parks, showed them different cultures, made sure they were well-educated, and taught them care and responsibility. Even though her marriage to Prince Charles and the ups and downs of being a royal mom made things occasionally tough, Diana never stopped being there for her kids.

Despite being gone, Diana's love and family spirit lives on through her sons. They have been seen helping others, especially in areas like mental health and veterans. They prove their mum's belief that you can make the world a better place through love.
