In 2020, all types of pasta recipes went viral on TikTok during the COVID quarantine, when everyone was trying out new recipes. However, two specifically stood out and stood the test of time: the “Gigi Hadid” Vodka Penne Pasta and the quick Baked Feta Pasta.
The Baked Feta Pasta especially captured attention for its simplicity and efficient cooking process compared to the others. Only four main ingredients and some seasonings are required to create this flavorful and yummy meal.

Step-by-Step Instructions
- Gather all of your ingredients.
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
- Add the tomatoes and garlic oil to the baking dish.
- Toss the baking dish with olive oil, pepper, red pepper, and salt.
- Add the block of feta to the center of your dish.
- Put the dish into the oven and bake until the feta is golden and the tomato juice starts leaking.
- During this time, cook the pasta of your choice in salted water. Save some pasta water for later!
- Take out the feta dish and mix all the ingredients in the baking dish.
- Add the pasta to the dish.
- Add extra seasonings and pasta water to thin out the sauce if needed.
- Serve the pasta and enjoy your meal!

Fortunately, the dish lived up to the hype and was really good.
My concerns about not enjoying the flavor proved unfounded. Despite using only a handful of ingredients, this dish is delicious and flavorful, showing that even the simplest dishes can still taste quite good. It quickly became one of my go-to dishes if I was in a hurry or too lazy to make something more complicated.
The pasta is perfect for beginners because the ingredients are simple, common, and often already in most people’s fridges, so no extra grocery trips are needed! So, if you find yourself bored in the kitchen or in a rush one day and want a quick and straightforward recipe, this dish is a great option. Everyone should try making it at least once!
