How I Actually Achieved My 2025 Resolutions by Loving Myself & Letting Go! (Wasn't Easy.)

Thu, January 08

Hey! Welcome! I am here to share how I ACTUALLY achieved my 2025 resolutions with success! Not only will I be talking about how to achieve them, but I will also touch base on confidence, consistency, self-respect and loving yourself!

Let's start with introductions, shall we?

I will be informing you about how you can make whatever 2026 resolution you may have come true, from my experience with my 2025 resolutions! These may not be for everyone, but they are for many! Let's start with something simple.

Let us slide into your dms 🥰

1. Doing It For Yourself.

Every teen faces the same problem repeatedly. We do things for other people instead of ourselves. We try and better ourselves for others, we go out of our way to do things for others, even giving advice to others, etc.

The list is LITERALLY never ending. But the key to actually achieving your 2026 resolution is to forget about everyone else and do it for you. Stop doing things for other people and forgetting yourself. Now I'm not saying be totally heartless and do nothing for others, I'm saying that every time you do something for someone else, remember yourself. Whatever they have going on or asking you to do can always be put off a day or two.

Teens are always busy, and we try to get things done for other people as soon as possible. But in this case, we don't have to do that. Now I may not be making a whole lot of sense.

So let me break it down, say your friend asks you to paint a canvas for them. You accept, and they give you the picture they want to be on the canvas; you get home, putting off whatever you had planned to just do what they asked you to do. You're up all night trying to do what they asked, but you forgot that you wanted to actually study that night. You put someone else before you, now sometimes that may be okay, but if you constantly do it, over and over, you'll forget yourself increasingly. The more you forget yourself, the more you lose yourself.

2. Actually WANTING That Resolution To Succeed.

Let's say that you wanted to work out every day for 6 months and you do for about a week, but after that week, you forget for about 5 days. One, your head must be in the game if you actually want to make that resolution succeed. (When I say in the game, I mean you actually have to WANT it, not just kind of want it. YOU HAVE TO WANT.

IT.) You must stay consistent, working out every day like you wanted. CONSISTENCY IS KEY! If you really want the resolution to follow through, then you must keep up your end of the bargain, working out every day for 6 months like you said you would.

3. Consistency IS KEY!

I know I touched base on this on number 2 but I think I should talk about it a little more. Without consistency, you don't get results. Without results, there is no growth.

And you need growth to be able to complete the resolution. I don't know what your resolution may be, but whatever it is, you need to be consistent and follow through with it. How I overcame most of my resolutions was letting go and being consistent! Maybe you should make a plan, a plan that works for you, and your schedule. I didn’t do this, but it could help!

4. Not Caring About What Others Think.

Everyone is always going to have something to say about what you're doing in YOUR LIFE! But when I tell you, their opinion doesn't matter, I mean it. 2026 will be your year if you really WANT IT! Stop listening to others; they don't matter when it comes to you and yourself.

You are your first priority. No one will love and care for you as much as you do. When I stopped thinking about what others thought about what I posted or what I wore or what I looked like, RESULTS CAME and I was very pleased with them. People will always have their own opinions, regardless of what you wear or do. Everyone will always have their own thoughts and their own titles about you. Haters will hate, and lovers will love.

5. BE YOU!

There is no one on this earth that can be like you. No one can act like you, talk like you, love like you, or even be a good friend like you. Now there will be followers, people who try and be you, but they aren't you.

But just because they aren't you doesn't mean that there may or may not be someone better. No one is better than anyone else, but there are better people. See how that works? It's confusing but that's how it is. You can't be anyone else other than you. If you try and act like someone else then you're just a follower, a wannabe that wants to be something they're not. DON'T BE SOMETHING YOU'RE NOT! It's not a good look and not only that, it's not meant for you. Everyone is their own person.

6. Distance Yourself From People Who Aren't Supporting You.

There will always be fake friends, fake family members, fake lovers, fake everything. If they aren't rooting for you, they're hating on you. It's simple and I won't sugar coat it.

If they are constantly raining on your parade, disliking your success, hating on you for the little things you accomplish, they are NOT with you. Distance yourself from those people. They want to be better even though it's not a competition. But there are also those friends who are happy for you but don't want you above them. Also distance yourself from those types of people. They are salty and you get less with salt and more with sugar.

7. You Are Your Own Brand.

There is not a bigger brand than you. You are branding yourself. It doesn't matter what brand you are; you're a brand.

Whatever you do, reflects in your behavior. Say you have a bad friend and they talk about others. You hang around them, and you'll start reflecting their behavior. Who you hang around shows in you. You'll start acting how they're acting and if you reflect their unreasonable behavior, it won't be a good look for you. As I said before, be you, not who others want you to be. Be around those who will reflect the good in you, not the bad.

Now follow these things and I guarantee you will see some sort of result in your resolution. CONSISTENCY IS EVERYTHING! Remember that!

These helped me so much and I know they will help you! Thanks for reading! Until next time! Bye!
