Ginny and Georgia Season 3: Everything We Know

Ginny and Georgia season two truly ended in a bang.

Georgia Miller is finally marrying her fiance Paul Randolph, when a team of police officers crash the wedding to arrest the bride. This was not for a misdemeanor. No, she was being arrested for murdering her friend Cynthia Fuller's husband, Tom. Speechless wedding guests gaze upon the police cars driving Georgia away, while her young son Austin (the only one aware of her guilt) hopelessly chases after his mother.

A cliffhanger truly for the books.

Now, nearly two and a half years later, a teaser was released announcing the show's third season. It is set to air on June 5th, 2025.

The Cast

With over 1.4 million views within a week, it's safe to say the fans are just as excited for the show's return as executive producer, Sarah Lampert. She foreshadows,

“It’s incredibly complex, filled with lots of love but also lots of pain. This season, we’ll see it evolve in unexpected ways. These women don’t start and end the season the same people...We also dig deeper into other relationships — some we’ve seen before, and some we haven’t.”

If the trailer is to give any indication, this summary appears to be right on the money. It ominously states: This June, judgement day.

We also see snippets of Georgia walking the prison's halls while Ginny walks her school's, highlighting their evident distance from one another. Yet, will she remain behind bars? Or has she found a way out of this peculiar situation? Georgia is sat smiling in what appears to be a courtroom, is this why?

Moving on from pure speculation, it seems a vast majority of the show's beloved characters are set to remain this season. This includes Marcus (Felix Mallard), Austin (Diesel La Torraca), Paul Randolph (Scott Porter), Silver (Katelyn Wells), Zion (Nathan Mitchell), and more!

New characters and actors are set to be making an entrance as well. Ty Doran, best known for playing the aged Cal in the show Manifest, is playing Wolfe, who will be a student alongside Ginny in her poetry class. He's not quite fond of academia, but he'll still be significant nonetheless.

Noah Lamanna, known for playing Chief Jay in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, is set to play a smart peer tutor with a passion for skateboarding. A close friend of returning characters Silver and Marcus.

Fan Theories

Of course, lovers of Ginny and Georgia have made a multitude of predictions for season three. What fandom doesn't?

For instance, one major theory is that Paul will divorce Georgia.

Yes, some theorize the two lovers will be broken up. The astonished husband will be so taken aback by his wife's crime, that he will noy be able to stand by her.

Especially since this wouldn't be the first of her many illegal escapades.

If that doesn't sound plausible, others have suggested that Ginny and her on and off boyfriend Marcus will be over for good this time. That would definitely be a twist!

Maybe both of the theories are correct, perhaps none! For now, all we can do is keep guessing.

Planning Ahead

Fans will not have to worry over a season two type cliffhanger to never be resolved, as has happened with many shows in the past. An episode ends with more questions than answers, which viewers never receive for the show has been cancelled. No, Netflix has already renewed Ginny and Georgia for season four! But, it's not just Netflix who has been planning ahead.

Lampert shared with Tudum (an online newsletter by Netflix) that the highly anticipated season three has been in the works for quite some time. Even before the plot for season two was fully intact! She explains,

"When we had to develop the storyline for Season 2, we knew exactly what we wanted Season 3 to be...Georgia needed to kill someone and she needed to kill someone in Wellsbury, Massachusetts."

This has led some fans to wonder if season four, perhaps, is in the works as we speak? With Netflix already giving the green light for the show's renewal, it seems quite possible!

If season two's numbers are any indication, (665.1 million hours watched and 70.8 million viewers!) I have no doubt millions of us will be glued to our televisions on June 5th to see what adventures (and chaos) await Ginny and Georgia next.
