The Judges and Hosts

Bruno Tonioli, Derek Hough, and Carrie Ann Inaba are set to return to the judges' table for season 34.

All three have extensive experience in the dance world, both as professional dancers and as choreographers. Hough was a former pro on DWTS, winning 6 Mirrorball trophies, and has been nominated for 13 Primetime Emmy Awards (4 of which he won!). Fellow Emmy nominee Inaba has 30 seasons and counting as a Dancing with the Stars judge, as well as experience choreographing many popular reality TV shows including So You Think You Can Dance season 1, American Idol, and the Kids' Choice Awards.

Tonioli is also a reality TV host veteran. His experience includes judging the United Kingdom's Strictly Come Dancing and Britain's Got Talent as well numerous choreography credits for popular artists like Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney.

Hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough are also back and ready for the new season. Ribeiro, an actor, dancer, director, Emmy nominated host, and singer, is a former DWTS contestant who won the Mirrorball trophy in season 19 with Witney Carson. Hough also has competed for the trophy during her five season run as a pro, where she took home two wins.

How to Vote

To advance to the next episode, the dancing duos not only have to win over the judges, but also the viewers at home. Audience members can either text the name of the celebrity they want to see move forward to a five-digit number (21523) or vote on ABC's website.

Every week, fans can vote up to 20 times (10 through SMS and 10 through the website) per pair. For ABC's website, an online account is needed prior to voting, which can easily be set up with an active email account.

Note that in order to vote, viewers must be located in the U.S., U.S. Terriorties, or Canada and be 18+. Also, all votes must be submitted between 8 PM ET and just before the last dance of the night. Most episodes will run around two hours, so be sure to vote before 10 PM ET.

These votes will be combined with the judges' scores (which are either out of 30 or 40, depending on whether or not there is a guest judge) to determine who makes the next round.

Where to Stream

On its premiere release date (Tuesday, September 16), viewers can tune in on Disney+ and ABC. For streaming options, they will become available the following day on ABC's online website (ABC.com) and Hulu. Each pair's weekly dances (as well as the opening numbers, team dances, and dance offs) are also posted on DWTS' YouTube channel shortly after the episodes' release.

This schedule will continue each week as the duos continue to find their groove every Tuesday at 8 PM ET (5 PM PST). The final episode will be released on November 25 of this year.

Conclusion

DWTS is back for another fall season, and new and old fans alike, including myself, have been highly anticipating its return. My favorite part about a new season is watching the pro-celeb pairs captivate the audience with their upbeat, high-energy performances set to catchy beats. Also, I cannot wait to see the celebs' personalities shine through in their dances and rehearsal clips. Regardless of whether you watch for the mesmerizing performances (learned in an impressive one week time frame!) or to cheer on your favorites, be sure to set your calendar for the season premiere.
