Today's article is going to be a little interesting! We all use the same excuses all the time, so today we're gonna break down the lie "I'm busy" that's an absolute deceiver!
Let's move over to our topic!
Okay, even I say I'm busy all the time. Even when I am actually not busy. As a workaholic, I don't have a schedule; I plan as I go.
And this is common for many others as well. Now, I may be wrong, feel free to correct me if this doesn't imply to you, but when you say you're busy, are you really? Or are you trying to get out of whatever plan you wanted to do? Or are you just saying you're busy making yourself think you're being productive? What is a productive day? A question not many can answer correctly.
Is there really a correct answer? My best answer? It's not just about doing more but being intentional with time.
Using that time, energy, and focus to achieve meaningful, standard goals while having personal well-being. And many of us don't do that.

When we say we are busy, we tell ourselves that we have things to do. Things that need to be done. And we may be doing some of those things, but are we being productive?
Are we focused? Are we learning? Are we reaching our goal? Or are we panicked, frustrated, and tired? Those are questions we need to ask ourselves when we say we're being productive. Being busy can be good, but usually being busy distracts us. And some of us need that distraction or use that distraction to our advantage. And that can be overwhelming. Being productive isn't being overwhelmed. It's about personal well-being, a good mind.

Are we filling our focus with activity rather than fulfilling our goals? Real productivity requires prioritizing our tasks, our goals. We want to prioritize tasks that have outcomes.
Busyness leads to burnout, mental fatigue, poor performance while multitasking, stress, confusion, etc. Busyness can feel like progress; it can feel like you're doing something good. It can also feel like success, but is it really?

Busy people want to do more work; they do more because they think doing more is better, it's more successful, and it's productive. Productive people jump right to the goal, right to the problem and get it done while gaining something out of it. Busy people react to every little thing, fixing this and that, while productive people focus on the prize.
Frantic activity leads to exhaustion and panic. That isn’t healthy.

Multitasking vs. Focus
When you multitask, you think you're focusing on like 3 things at once, but in reality, your mind is never really paying attention to any of those things because you're doing so much at one time. You can’t read and listen to music at the same time. It’s impossible.
I’ve tried. Maybe classical or something, but you can’t listen to your most liked song on repeat while reading a popular book you like. It’s just not possible.

Protect your time
When you protect your time and work efficiently, you get more done in less time. But if you're not focused, you most likely get nothing done, maybe a few things, but not a lot. When you protect your time and energy on the things that actually matter, your whole world changes.

You don't have to be busy. You have to be productive. Actually, be productive.
