2025 is shaping up to be huge for pop culture. Like, we're talking massive changes and releases that will change how we see and feel art. All the music, TV, and gaming releases will keep us glued to the screens, every blockbuster film and chart-topping artist telling a story we have never heard before.

Basically, 2025 is already stuffed with epicness, and we’re here for every second of it. Grab your popcorn, folks; it's going to be a wild ride!

1) Coachella Music Festival — April 11

We have to start with one of the most anticipated music festivals every year: Coachella, which always gets the most attention. The stars who will be performing this year include Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott. Alongside today's schedule announcement also comes the news that Weezer and Ed Sheeran have been added to the festival's billing. The festival will be held over two weekends, from April 11 to 13, followed by April 18 to 20, and will take place in Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

2) Met Gala—May 5, 2025

The Met Gala is that girl when it comes to fashion statements in Hollywood. This year, it will take place at New York's Metropolitan Museum on Monday, May 5, 2025 in celebration of an exhibition exploring the history of Black dandyism from the 18th century to the present day. The theme, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," will spotlight the significance of Black tailoring throughout history, and the dress code is “Tailored for You,” a nod to the exhibition’s focus on menswear. As per usual, a lot of stars are expected to show up.

3) Lana Del Rey, The Right Person Will Stay—May 21

Our queen Lana Del Rey is about to make a comeback with her tenth studio album, The Right Person Will Stay, which is scheduled to be released through Interscope Records and Polydor Records on May 21, 2025. As Lana wrote on her Instagram, the album will feature 13 original tracks created in collaboration with familiar names, including Jack Antonoff, Zach Dawes, Drew Erickson, and Luke Laird. It is influenced by the “Southern Gothic” style—rich, yet authentic to her evolving artistic journey.

4) Miley Cyrus, Something Beautiful—May 30

The one and only Miley Cyrus is making a comeback into the music industry after her big hit "Flowers." This time, she is releasing her ninth studio album called Something Beautiful. As she describes it, this album is one for healing and growing, inspired by Pink Floyd's The Wall. A single, "End of the World,'' has already been released, and is disco-inflected pop anthem about escapism and running away in the face of a world apocalypse. Something Beautiful is sure to be a masterpiece you don't want to miss out on.

5) Squid Game Season 3—June 27, 2025

The final season of one of the most popular dramas right now is airing this summer. Series director, writer, and executive producer Hwang Dong-hyuk confirmed the news in a heartwarming letter to fans. “I am beyond excited to be writing this letter to announce the date for Season 2 and share the news of Season 3, the final season,” he wrote. “The fierce clash between [Gi-hun and Front Man’s] two worlds will continue into the series finale with Season 3, which will be brought to you next year.” Are you ready to find out how the season picks up after the twists of the season 2 finale?

6) Wednesday Season 2: TBD

Some say that it feels like forever since Wednesday season 1 came out, but season 2 is already on the way! On September 19, 2024, Netflix confirmed that the second season of Wednesday will air in 2025, and we are excited for the masterpiece to come out. Even though we do not have much information about the specifics, we know that season 2 of Wednesday has gained an exciting new cast member: the one and only Lady Gaga. However, as the Wednesday production team has confirmed, Gaga does not play a huge role in the series.

7) Reputation (Taylor's Version) – TBD

Reputation (Taylor's Version) is the upcoming re-recording of Taylor Swift's sixth studio album, Reputation. It is predicted to be released mid-2025 to early 2026, as the album became eligible to be re-recorded on November 10, 2022, which marked the fifth anniversary of the album. To all of the Swifties out there, I know how hard it is not to know the exact release time. Most importantly, we know that it will include the original tracklist as well as unreleased songs, or "Vault tracks." Which song do you want to hear the most?

8) Maxton Hall Season 2—TBD

To all of those who have seen Maxton Hall season 1, we can cheerfully say that season 2 is underway. Maxton Hall got so much attention last year, rising to the charts as the most-watched non-English show the same week of its release in May 2024. To all of you who don't know, it is the German-language series adapted from Mona Kasten’s trilogy, Save Me, Save You, and Save Us. As the exact release date is still unknown for season 2, everyone who has not seen the first season should check it out.

9) Stranger Things Season 5—TBD

The final season of our favorite series is finally coming out this year. The Stranger Things writers began working on Season 5 on Aug. 2, 2022, almost exactly a month after Season 4, Volume 2 debuted. Since then, they’ve graced the fans with repeated updates on the writing process of Season 5.

For example, we learned that Season 5 premieres with the episode “The Crawl,” and we still don't know what that means. As the plot and the details remain unknown, the fans are creating their own theories—what's yours?

10) Wicked: For Good — November 21

​Wicked: For Good is the sequel to the hit film Wicked. It's set to hit theaters on November 21, 2025. Wicked has proven to us just how much beauty can be found in musicals when they are properly done.

When it comes to the sequel, the story picks up after the events of the first film, delving deeper into Elphaba's transformation into the Wicked Witch of the West and her complex relationship with Glinda. The movie will feature both beloved songs from the original Broadway musical and new tracks composed by Stephen Schwartz.
