Student Life

February 07, 2022

To be completely honest, music can be extraordinarily distracting. One minute you could be working on your essay, and the next, you're on your feet dancing like it is nobody's business (and it's not). It isn't necessarily about limiting yourself when it comes to listening to music while working.

It's about finding the right type of music for that occasion. A good playlist or artist can put you in the best mood. It can take away your tears, put a smile on your face, and prompt you to complete that essay you've been procrastinating on. The following list will hopefully provide you with that mood.

The List:

1. Fantasy Board Gaming (Spotify)

Fantasy Board Gaming is a no-vocals playlist that features a variety of songs from fantasy TV shows, video games, etc. Its description on Spotify reads "Add dramatic flair to your strategy game," which is certainly true as its songs vary from being quite intense to soft and quiet. The playlist will certainly keep you focused on the task in front of you as it gives you the ability to feel as though you're trekking through a fantastical world.

2. Lindsey Stirling (Any Music Platform)

Lindsey Stirling is a popular violinist who focuses on playing and creating pop or electronic music. She first became famous for appearing on America's Got Talent and has since grown in fame with a steady number of original songs coming out.
