At just 17 years old, Colin, or better known as @YeahColin online, has risen to fame for his short, funny videos on his TikTok account @yeahcolin. With over 1.6 million followers, it is no surprise that he has made a mark on the internet.
The Teen Magazine had a chance to chat with Colin about his social media journey, upcoming plans, future goals, and the ever-popular 10 Quick Q round for you to better get to know him.
Colin acknowledged that TikTok has changed his life in many ways, like getting recognized in public.
Personal Life & Changes
However, when it came to his personal life, he said, "My personal life is completely the same. I have the same amazing group of friends that I had before my TikTok account and my inner circle has remained unchanged. When I am with them, we do not even talk about TikTok because to them it has no relevance in our friendship. So, I am very grateful that TikTok has brought me things, rather than made drastic changes."

Colin's first viral video was during the start of quarantine in 2020. "Obviously not being used to that at all, I started freaking out because I was worried people at my school would see and think I was weird for posting on TikTok," said Colin.
In fact, he tried to make it a secret as much as he could until it became impossible. "I was so scared of external judgment," shared Colin, "But when I had my first viral video, my cousin, who I was quarantining with, was the first person I told. [I] made her swear not to tell anyone and we watched a movie with our family like nothing was happening."
Advice From Colin
When asked about what advice he would give to all the teens out there who wish to gain fame on TikTok like him, he replied:
"My advice to teens who want to gain fame on TikTok would be not to force anything or put pressure on themselves. From experience, it is not fulfilling to force something for views or for followers, so post whatever you want and if it happens, it happens.
But most importantly, do not let the fear of judgment from people in your real-life guide you away from doing or posting what you want, because life is too short to let other peoples’ opinions dictate your decisions."
However, when it comes to advice for his own younger self, Colin told us, "My advice to my younger self would be to just have fun and realize it will all work out. I would also tell my younger self to not wear neon shorts, shirts, and socks because you look stupid."
The Biggest Accomplishment
When asked about the biggest thing he has accomplished, Colin responded, "The proudest achievement I have in regards to social media is reaching a million followers in the time that I did."
"I am also just proud to be someone to look up to for anyone watching me, as I have always wanted to be that person. I'm happy to know that the same way I used to look up to people on social media, someone is doing the same with me."
However, as we all know, it's not always sunshine and rainbows. Unfortunately, Colin receives hate on his social media as well, but it's good to know that he knows how to handle it.
"I honestly do not read lots of DM’s or comments to avoid interacting or seeing hate comments, but when I do, I usually look at them humorously and realize that they do not know me in real life or as a person in general, so whatever they have to say is not really an attack on who I am as a person.
Also, people will hate on anything anyone does and if they care enough about what a random kid on TikTok is doing to comment on it, that shows more about them than me. "
Back on YouTube
In case you didn't know, Colin actually made videos on YouTube before TikTok and after three videos and about 70 hours of editing, he got 7 subscribers and he knew all 7 of them in real life. That's when he decided to give TikTok a try.
Now, when it comes to his YouTube channel, he plans on posting more often and being more active, especially because that is where he initially planned on starting off.
"My future goals in regards to social media are to turn my account into a more lifestyle-oriented account and, down the line, hopefully start my own company, whether that is in the fashion of clothing, workout attire, coffee company, or anything. That would be really cool and a big dream of mine," said Colin.
Hobbies & Chillin'
We also had to know: what do Tiktok stars like Colin do in their free time?
"During my free time, I like to work out, try new coffee shops and restaurants with my friends, watch Criminal Minds, watch Youtube, or play tennis. I try to do everything other than scroll on TikTok endlessly because it literally makes you want to rip your brain off." Colin responded.
Last but not least, The Teen Magazine proceeded by asking Colin a few quick questions to get to know him a bit more!
